    Rob Ford

Rob Ford So it has been going around there is a video of Ford(Mayor of Toronto) smoking crack. He held a press conference stating ""I do not use crack cocaine,"Nor am I an addict of crack cocaine" If this turns out to be true he seems like he would be a good candidate for 2014 as the only obese crackhead the world.

    Douglas Slocombe

I thought it was about time the Cinematographer Douglas Slocombe had his own thread. He turns 103 next February is virtually blind and looks very frail indeed. He was also a photojournalist and covered the beginning of WW2 before working on many films such as the First three Indiana Jones films ,Julia ,The Italian job ,The Great Gatsby and Jesus Christ Superstar amongst many others. He won 3 BAFTAS and was nominated for 3 Oscars. Given the high profile of his movies and his acclaim from BAFTA I would be astounded if his eventual demise was not covered by all the major news sites/Papers in Britain .Gil Taylor another famous cinematographer received a good amount of attention when he died and I think Slocombe would be the same .I think he is definitely a must have for next years list if he makes it that far. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-28983004 :An interview with the BBC last September. http://www.bscine.com/2013/douglas-slocombe-bsc-celebrates-his-100th-birthday/ :100th Birthday report. http://www.theguardian.com/culture/2009/dec/13/douglas-slocombe-tribute-philip-french :Guardian article on him being honoured by BAFTA. http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/72823000/jpg/_72823007_slocombe-2011.jpg :Picture from 2011.

I was looking at extensions for Mozilla Firefox and I came across this: https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/morei...numpg=10&id=451 Of course I thought of all the sick bastards here waiting for him to die. And I mean that as a compliment. Anyway, if you use Firefox, it lets you know his status in the bar at the bottom of the browser window. Fun!

    Natalie Cole

Just read this morning that 58 year old Natalie Cole is a Hep C job as a result of sharing needles in her mis-spent youth. She also reacted to being trapped in a burning building by cooking up a hit of crack. Turning down the suggestion of the bodyguard trapped with her that they should shag. She's been clean for over 25 years, but that little time-bomb will never go away.

    Greville Janner

Lord Janner turned 87 yesterday and is said to be receiving 24 hour care for Alzheimer`s disease which he was diagnosed with six years ago. His condition is said to be rapidly worsening however some have said his lawyers are exaggerating the severity of his condition to avoid him standing trial over serious historical offences. When the trial goes ahead albeit in his absence the speculation of his health will no doubt be clarified further. Certainly a serious contender for next year I think. Had anyone heard of him before the child abuse allegations though?

    Cynthia Payne

Suprised she's lasted this long given her lifestyle... Cynthia Payne rose to prominence in the 70s and 80s as a sex party hostess and a sex laws liberalisation campaigner. I also almost bought her book when looking for Sylvia Plath poetry.. She is 81.

    Kir5Ty Howard

The back-to-front hearted girl who befriended the Beckhams has made another recovery from the edge of death. But her shelf life is long-expired. We obviously have a problem with people who are famous largely through their terminal illness but we could always set up a thread a bit like a horse race for the likes of Kirsty and Jane Tomlinson allowing us to add commentry on the snippets of media coverage and their headlong sprint for that final finishing line. Whad'ya reckon?
