    Bobby Charlton

With news of his Dementia diagnosis being made public and his likely future appearances on the List I have opened a thread for him.

    Martti Ahtisaari

Thread for discussion about Martti Ahtisaari, former Finnish president (1994-2000), peace negotiator and global elder emeritus. Ahtisaari is overweight and recently survived COVID-19. He or his wife Eeva have not been seen in public much since that. He's one of the five global elder emeriti along with Jimmy Carter, Desmond Tutu, Fernando Cardoso and Ela Bhatt.

    Ronnie Corbett

Just saw Cat O`Falks post about there not being a thread for Ronnie Corbett which I found surprising given his age notability and high profile collpase. Anyway he is of course best known for his role in the Two Ronnies and the sitcom Sorry! and is considered widely to be a "national treasure".He collapsed in a restaurant 3 years ago.He also spent several days in hospital last year after suffering chest pains. He also vehemently dismissed rumours of his retirement last year but I haven`t seen him on TV since Rolf Harris was convicted.I would be surprised if he went this year or next but he is nearly 85 and not been in the rudest of health so certainly one to keep on the radar. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2541730/It-goodnight-getting-new-knee-Ronnie-Corbett-came-close-death-collapsed-having-joint-replacement.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/10700961/Ronnie-Corbett-suffers-chest-pains.html http://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/Ronnie-Corbett-m-fed-retirement-rumours/story-20878060-detail/story.html

    Betty Boothroyd

Turns 89 next month and has led a stressful political life. No noted ill health but spinsters tend to go downhill quickly. Que me being told that she shouldn’t have her own thread ....
  5. Paul Bearer

    David Bennett

First ever recipient of an animals heart. Modern medicine at its finest. Guess they saved his bacon. I wonder how long he's got now. Wasn't famous before the operation, but confident he'll get a QO when he dies.
  6. Bijou in Queen's Crown

    Paul O'Grady

I think Paul O'Grady is brilliant. His show is better than R+J's by miles. I can't wait for it to come back. I loved him as Lily as well. Blankety Blank was great and all the other stuff he did as Lily like 'The Avengers'. Anyone else like him?
  7. Gravedigger

    Jerry Lewis

I saw a picture of the rubber faced comedian (77) earlier in the week, and boy does he look in a bad way! Just released from hospital, after ballooning to 110Kg from an adverse reaction to SPAM, which he was taking to treat pulmonary fibrosis... A quick background check shows he's been declining in health over the last few of years, suffering from viral meningitis, diabetes, chronic back pain, addiction to painkillers, a heart attack and prostate cancer. If he can keep this performance going for the rest of the year, I think he's a good candidate for the 2005 list.
  8. Grim Reaper

    Michael Gambon

    The Michael Gambon thread.
  9. Ulitzer95

    Piper Laurie

Thought it was time she got her own thread. Actress and Hollywood royalty Piper Laurie (wiki) turns 90 tomorrow. A surviving star of Hollywood's Golden era, she was nominated for an Oscar three times (Carrie, Children of a Lesser God, and The Hustler). To later audiences, probably best known for playing the scheming villain Catherine Martell on Twin Peaks during the 1990s. She had several acting credits in 2018... but none since. Video interview of her here from March 2021. Looks ok for now but worth keeping an eye on. Picked by 5 teams in the DDP this year.

    Dianne Feinstein

Pre-historic Senator of California, Dianne Feinstein, sells her estate at Lake Tahoe. Is the couple (she's married to lung cancer survivor billionaire investor Richard Blum) being forced to downsize? https://nypost.com/2021/06/25/dianne-feinstein-lists-41m-lake-tahoe-estate/?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_source=P6Twitter&utm_medium=SocialFlow

    Yevgeny Prigozhin

I was really surprised that he didn't have a thread yet. Or a pool. I say July, 21, 2023. I haven't decided if he jumped out a window, shot himself or accidentally poisoned himself.
  12. The Great Cornholio

    Len Goodman

Len Goodman just came out of surgery for skin cancer. Looks like he wont be needing any further treatment though but I think its probably worth keeping an eye on him for the sake of recurrence https://www.msn.com/en-gb/entertainment/celebrity/strictly-come-dancing-legend-len-goodman-has-surgery-for-skin-cancer-scare/ar-BB18gvgl

    Giorgio Napolitano

Italian President 2006-2015 and Senator for Life, Giorgio Napolitano (b. 1925) Frail after an aorta surgery in 2018, the popular pool pick and kingmaker in Italian politics will be 96 next month. His political career started in 1944, joined the Communist Party in 1945 and elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1953. After he became the President of Italy in 2006 at the age of 80, he turned the role of the President of Italy from a ceremonial role to a very influential one. He was re-elected in 2013 at the age of 87 but resigned in 2015 at the age of 89. After that he has focused on growing more spots on the top of his head. Which one will go first, Napolitano or Berlusconi?

Rushed to hospital after being found 'unconscious at hotel'.
  17. She's quadraplegic and she set off today to sail the channel single handed. Can you be 'handed' when nothing below the neck works? Anyway, it's brave to the point of suicidal since she's dependent on blowing through straws to steer herself. There's some damn big ships going up and down that sea lane, it'll be dark part of the time. Etc etc.

  20. Paul Bearer

    Michael Parkinson

Seems to be having a bit of a resurgence at the moment being mentioned in a couple of ( over 50's) adverts. Was also on Chris Evans radio show this morning. At 83, thought he might be worth a punt. (Couldn't find a thread for him, apologies if one exists)

    Zsa Zsa Gabor

Should Zsa Zsa be on this years list or 2006? She has many different ages such as being 95 88 and 86 years old? She was always known to lie about her age. I see her as being a fair canidate.
