  5. Joey Russ

    Gord Downie

Considering he has terminal brain cancer and he has a high chance of being obitable, I think it would be right for him to have his own page. Surprised no one made one already.
  6. Joey Russ

    Gregg Allman

Since he is currently hospitalized, and considering the health issues he had in recent years, I think he could be a possible candidate for future years

    Brian Rix

Flicking through the channels and came across an old film (the night we dropped a clanger) with Brian Rix. I thought he'd died years ago. Still alive, aged 92 and a Lord to boot. Most folk of a certain age might remember watching some of the farces he appeared in. Don't know anything about his health, but at 92, should be a possible future candidate?
  8. Death Impends

    Shivakumara Swami

109-year-old educationalist Shivakumara Swami was recently in hospital due to jaundice, though he's already been released.

    Silvio Berlusconi

Amazed he doesn't have his own topic. Former Italian PM, Silvio Berlusconi has had a pacemaker fitted and is now in the hospital for a cardiac deficiency. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36468019 In any event, good value surely for discussion.

    Tony Booth

Chainsmoking heavy drinking actor and womanizer Tony Booth is now 84 and in terrible shape. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer`s in 2004 suffered a stroke in 2010 and was diagnosed with heart failure and emphysema in 2014 but somehow is still going. His wife Steph states that he doesn`t really remember her anymore and that his lungs are so bad that "it sounds like he is drowning" and that his heart failure is so severe that nothing can be done medically to help him.He was also admitted to a nursing home briefly a while back when his wife had a cold as "a simple cold could finish him off".Definitely one to include for next year if he makes it to next year.He is best known as the scouse git out of "till death us do part" ad was the president of equity an actors union. He also is one of the few actors to feature in Coronation Street Eastenders and Emmerdale. Also known for being Cherie Blaire`s Dad and Pat Phoenix`s husband for 6 whole days as well as being a prominent left wing activist . http://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/health-family/i-have-on-more-than-one-occasion-wondered-why-i-go-on-caring-for-tony-1.2634426 http://www.mirror.co.uk/lifestyle/health/fiona-phillips-meets-tony-booth-3130078

    Tina Turner

77 soon and she had that "stroke" in 2014. Years of drugs, Ike and a bad generation of musicians. Bad meaning that they were hard in the drug thing. She may live for a couple more years but better to start a thread while she's still rollin'. Bad year for music business. Ike died at 76 so let's keep this in numbers. Don't be mad at me for starting her thread. I love her and this is an honor. And I thought she already had a thread. She's retired and had a hyperactive life. A lot of people think she's dead already.

  13. Sir Creep

    Sumner Redstone

It's about time we open a thread on this popular talking point (no less than 5 threads tyvm). Looks like the 92-yr old Viacom CEO doesn't have to take a deposition for his competency trial, but what with said trial starting up May 6, how much can the withered man take? Will he see 2017? Could be interesting. "Whether or not Mr. Redstone, 92, is competent is the subject of a lawsuit filed in November by Manuela Herzer, his former companion and onetime romantic partner." SC http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/04/15/business/media/sumner-redstone-wont-have-to-give-deposition-in-competency-suit.html?referer=http://r.search.yahoo.com/RV=1/RE=1460780163/RB=/RO=8/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.nytimes.com%2f2016%2f04%2f15%2fbusiness%2fmedia%2fsumner-redstone-wont-have-to-give-deposition-in-competency-suit.html/RS=%5EADAtx6W8Lw5u1n9QS_cgihY4csgd4g-

    Jill Gascoine

Actress Jill Gascoine turns 79 today. She is best known for her roles in The Gentle Touch and C.A.TS Eyes in the 80`s and 90`s.She has been suffering from Alzheimer`s disease for several years now and in January 2015 her husband Alfred Molina said that she was in a nursing home and now didn`t recognize who he was most of the time.He also stated she had retreated into her own little world and that he cared for her for 4 years at home but on reflection probably did her more harm than good in doing so.Stating that the house became a "minefield" and that her condition had become "radically worse".Maybe a good Death list pick for next year?Certainly famous enough and arguably poorly enough to be included.

    Harry Belafonte

    Sidney Poitier

Sidney turned 89 yesterday so I figured I'll make a thread, it's about time I think (if there is one already, be free to close this one because i can't find his name anywhere). So judged by his age I think he'll go like Lauren Bacall (stroke, heart attack).

  22. The Mad Hatter

    Shimon Peres

Now that he has had a heart attack I think it might be a good idea to start a thread about him.
