  1. Paul Bearer

    Billy McNeill

Former footie player, Lisbon Lion and manager is apparently in a bad way. Seems he might not last the night.
  2. M.Lawrenson

    Nigel Kneale & Judith Kerr

Watching The Quatermass Trilogy on DVD a while ago, I found out writer Nigel Kneale is still alive (b. 18th April 1922). Judging by the documentary features, he can't have long left. Bright and alert in footage shot in 1993, he looked old and frail on the other made in 2004. And to be honest, he doesn't seem to have done much writing for TV in the last 10 years.

    Dale Winton

TV presenter Dale WInton doesn't look very well, underneath all that botox & mahogany tan.

    The Gordon Banks thread.

    Tim Conway

Comedian Tim Conway is suffering from dementia apparently and is "almost entirely unresponsive". https://people.com/tv/tim-conway-dementia-daughter-asking-conservatorship/
  6. Death Watch Beatle

    Stan Lee

Just watched the Fantastic 4 on DVD - not a bad film as superhero live action goes. Stan Lee does his usual cameo as a postman this time. Hell, this guy is 84 and looks in better shape than people 20 years younger, so no reason to stick him on the list, but it does give an excuse to run a thread on comics and comic heros. I had a sizeable collection of American Spiderman, Batman, Superman et al stuff, but when I hit my teens only 2000AD did it for me. Any thoughts? DWB

    Alex Higgins (And Snooker)

I know that last time there was an Alex Higgins thread it turned into a rant fest. So this is more general question, which I suspect will get very few answers-Aren't there a ton of sick and dying snooker players Joe O'Boye, the Francisco's, etc . Suspect this will prove to be a thread to nothing but.......?
  8. Grim Reaper

    Ken Kercheval

    The Ken Kercheval thread.
  9. I say: former Grand duke Jean of Luxembourg for DL 2010! I mentioned him before at the ideas and possibilities thread, and the man is not getting any younger. Not the hottest debated royalty, the Luxembourgers, but a dead royal always stirs some attention. Former Grand Duke Jean is now 88 years old, and has been looking more and more frail over the last couple of years - especially after the dead of his wife Josephine-Charlotte in 2005. He has had a hip replacement last year and is said to recover slowly (according to the always well informed Royal Forums - they're the only ones who give a f*ck).
  10. Rude Kid

    Slobodan Milosevic

On trial for war crimes, but claims to be in ill health...sounds like a ploy to me, especially as he's only 62, but you never know. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/3865573.stm
  11. Phantom

    Charles Aznavour

Until I glanced at the list this morning, I always thought Charles Aznavour was dead.
  12. Sean

    Max Clifford

Celebrity publicist and nonce Max Clifford is in a critical condition following two heart attacks and a cardiac arrest. At 74 and with heart issues in the past he could be worth a punt next year.

    Gerry And Sylvia Anderson

Not a death sentence but Gerry Anderson has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's I am surprised he and Sylvia don't have their own thread.
  14. Grim Reaper

    Bill Tarmey

    The Bill Tarmey thread

    Burt Reynolds

This is the place to discuss Burt Reynolds the 79 year old actor who has suffered from back trouble and also has had major heart surgery and pneumonia over the last few years but looks like he is far more seriously ill than he is publicly disclosing in recent pictures. http://www.closerweekly.com/posts/burt-reynolds-is-determined-to-stay-strong-as-he-struggles-with-illness-59198 Certainly one of ours for next year?
  16. Grim Reaper

    Ronald Reagan

Email just received at DeathList HQ: PWB says: "Strongly disagree with the designation of "idiot" for one of the greatest Presidents of the United States." Sadly PWB doesnt suggest an alternative description, but we're open to suggestions. Obviously Ronnie did make some great contributions in his time - for instance where would we be today without the "Star Wars" project?? Everyone still happy with "idiot" or is it time for a change?
  17. post mortem

    David Bowie

Now its easy to predict that someone over 80 is going to die. The real skill is getting someone under 60 http://www.deathlist.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/ph34r.png I am sure the doctors have patched him up but he may be one to watch. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/3878889.stm
  18. Lewd_Squirrel

    George A. Romero

I did a search, & couldn't find a thread about him, so I figured that I'd start one. It's weird, cause I thought that I had already started a thread, about him, a year or so ago. :/ I guess I was wrong.
  19. Cerberus

    Mary Wilson

It's proving difficult to find out anything about Mary (Lady) Wilson, who was married to Prime Minister Harold Wilson until his death in 1995. Searches throw up lots of references to the one-time Supremes singer of the same name, but nothing about this one. I assume she's still alive, because she was apparently interviewed in the Cherie Blair/Booth progtramme that was on Channel 4 recently. But Harold's Wiki entry doesn't even mention her. My guess is that she lives in the Scilly Islands, where he was buried. Anyone know?
  20. Joey Russ

    John McCain

Yeah, so he has an aggressive form of brain cancer, so he's definitely a very good candidate for next year I think. Felt like he needed his own thread, and I try to limit the amount of threads I make, but it's too tempting this time, so here we are...
  21. Lady Die

    Elvis Presley

The King died on his throne exactly 28 years ago. Bookmakers have revealed that wagers have all but dried up from fans betting that Elvis Presley is still alive. Over the years bookmakers William Hill have taken thousands of bets that Elvis will be found alive, but in the last year fans have stopped placing bets. Bookmakers have now lengthened the odds of Elvis being found alive from 100/1 to 1000/1. "The biggest odds we have ever given was a Elvis related bet, we offered 14 million to one that Elvis will crash land a UFO into Loch Ness hitting the monster," said bookmaker Rupert Adams. "It is perhaps the end of an era, where even his most ardent fans no longer believe that Elvis could have remained hidden for so long."
  22. Bury The Bastard

    James Brown

The Godfather of soul has prostate cancer. He has told doctors 'I don't feel good' and will be going for surgery next week.
  23. Guest

    Billy Graham

85 - well past average life expectancy - and could pop his clogs soon.
