    2. Kirk Douglas

This thread is the place to discuss Kirk Douglas.

    Sir Patrick Moore

He will be 81 next march and is in very frail health. He's just published his autobiography in which he reveals that he doesn't expect to live much longer and has organised his wake and prepared a (very witty) post-death taped funeral speech to his friends. He can no longer walk without the aid of two sticks and says his body has started shutting down. A decent bet?

    John McCain

Yeah, so he has an aggressive form of brain cancer, so he's definitely a very good candidate for next year I think. Felt like he needed his own thread, and I try to limit the amount of threads I make, but it's too tempting this time, so here we are...

    Mad Mike Hoare

Will be 99 in March, and defo a deathlisty name imo. Mad Irish bastard has had some life (assuming alive). One of his boys died six months ago https://www.scotsman.com/news/obituaries/obituary-peter-duffy-mercenary-soldier-hijacker-ex-convict-chef-photographer-and-raconteur-1-4542468 And I came across this interview from when The Wild Geese was released (he advised on the film) https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1978/11/13/mad-mike-the-mercenary/473b33ac-3eb3-493d-816c-6560fa239914/?utm_term=.2392ecdcaeb0 Nowt to say in ill health, but age alone could see him in the main List next year. Outlived all his contemporaries by decades, worth a thread.

    Lone Rhinoceros

Being that the entire species (all variations) may well be extinct in our children's' lifetimes, I figured we could count them down, 1 by 1. We lost two bloody black rhinos just this month. Denver Zoo officials are mourning the loss of a 21-year-old black rhinoceros after the animals health caused the zoo to euthanize him. Zoo officials say since 2014 they have tried 20 different procedures and therapies to alleviate the critically endangered animals foot problems, including customized boots. Mshindi was born at the zoo in 1993. His name means warrior or champion in Swahili. The rhino was taught to hold a paint brush in his mouth and create paintings that were then sold to raise money for rhino conservation. Alex Higgins (And Snooker)

I know that last time there was an Alex Higgins thread it turned into a rant fest. So this is more general question, which I suspect will get very few answers-Aren't there a ton of sick and dying snooker players Joe O'Boye, the Francisco's, etc . Suspect this will prove to be a thread to nothing but.......?

    Tammy Faye Messner

Tammy Faye Messner, the former wife of televangelist Jim Bakker, announced Thursday night she has inoperable lung cancer. Messner, a guest on CNN's "Larry King Live," said she was told of the diagnosis two weeks ago. "They can't take it out because it's too near the heart and there are too many blood vessels that are near the cancer," Messner said. Tammy Faye was on show last year called "The Surreal Life" which also featured Vanilla Ice and other celebrities living together. She will turn 63 next year... if she makes it. A certain candidate for 2005! http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/03/18/tammy.fay...ncer/index.html

    Lemmy From Motörhead

"Lemmy, a man who once survived a two-week amphetamine bender on just two fruit pies and some yoghurt, was hospitalised last week for dehydration and exhaustion. Lemmy's manager has been trying to get him to start a more healthy lifestyle so the European tour can continue. Lemmy has compromised... he's agreed to start adding ice cubes to his Jack Daniels. " I would like to suggest Lemmy as a possible death list candidate, I can't predict exactly how he will die, but he might spontaneously combust Discuss. DDT

    Big Yellow Bird

I dreamt 'A Big Yellow Bird' had died. Caroll Spinney who has played the part of Sesame Street's, 'Big Bird' is now 73 years old and his biography claims 'In recent years Spinney has had to minimize his time performing Big Bird, due to his age. The literally heavy responsibility of performing Big Bird has gone to Matt Vogel, who performs the character in the regular "Journey to Ernie" segment, and to a very limited extent, Rick Lyon' - Over his career he performed the characters in Australia, China, Japan, and across Europe. visited the White House multiple times. conducted orchestras across the US and Canada, including the Boston Pops. starred in the theatrically-released movie Follow that Bird, with a high-billing in Elmo in Grouchland. served as a recording artist on dozens of albums.
