5-0 yes so far. Unusual optimism by forum standards!

I could well see another hit by tomorrow, someone unexpected like Lansbury or Cardin… I think/hope, this last part of the year is going to be successful

Almost certain to break the record now.Especially with COVID sweeping around the world.Even without the COVID factor the record would be broken I think.

Well the poll's anonymous, but I'm the lone contrarian at the moment. It's common for there to be 2-3 hits in Nov/Dec although in the record-breaking year there was only 1. We've now had the first of our Nov/Dec hits this year. I have a feeling that, since the biggest remaining dead cert is gone, there might only be one more. Tying the record is more likely than breaking it.

The recent US Election must have had an emotional toll on American politicians such as Carter, Dole, Kissinger and Cheney. I'd be very surprised if all 4 of them made it to 2021. Plus, Leon Spinks must be ready to drop by now. Record will definitely be broken.

Well half the population of US has been celebrating Biden winning by going out in the street. So I expect a boom in Covid cases in the next two weeks.

Was thinking the same.Thought it was ironic seeing as many voted for Biden due to Covid 19

Well, so far none on the list has been anywhere near a Covid-19 infection. Also, we might end the year on a dry. So in a desperate swing, not to jinx it, I'll be the minority and say 'No'.

I think it’s very likely to tie with the 2017 record at most. Unfortunately I’m not hopeful it’ll surpass it.

It's already broken my record. Alex Trebek is my 24th hit, this year. I think the most that I've ever had, in the past is either 21 or 22.

If by "break" you mean equal then yes.

If by "break" you mean beat then no.

What a great way  to break the record and have a good ending to an otherwise shitty year  if he was to succumb to it ! Bob Dole hit no 17, Sutcliffe no 18. Lovely jubbly !

Ah. I wasn't aware of that. Might he be the 1st on the list to officially have it?

My bet is that this year will tie with 2017
