Since I still got a Ps3, but gonna by Ps5 later I have lots of games on Ps4 I am gonna by to like

FWIW both new consoles run on custom variations of AMD hardware (last gen in the case of the cpu;s and rdna2 gpu;s, not that i suspect anyone much cares ).

Anyone here getting the digital PS5 version? Got the go ahead to get a PS5 off the wife provided it's the digital version ,lack of space and all that.

 

Still have Yakuza remastered collection, cyberpunk 2077 (pre ordered when it eventually arrives) and god of war to complete before I buy PS5 and with family & work that will probably take 6-8 months.

I'm not a gamer at all so I just took advantage of people selling their old consoles for cheap to clear out room for the new ones and got an XBox One off Gumtree for £80

My best purchase this year was a £20 Wii on eBay, which I modded to access the internet. I might sound like a boomer with a flip phone, but it's really all I need. I've got my money's worth many times over. £20 is also the most I'd be willing to fork out right now.

I've got an Xbox One currently but I'll be converting to PS5 soon. I've become a bit more of a PC gamer (revisiting noughties games like Spore) as of recent.

 

RDR2 was a great game, played it to death. That and Star Wars Fallen Order.

No gaming for me since my left thumb came off worst in an argument with a chainsaw a couple of years back. Not that I gamed much anyway, but in my time I have enjoyed Gameboy golf, SNES Mario Karting, Wii bowling and the odd game of backgammon over a dry Martini or two.

I had one similar, but it had 6 switches on it.  My son is now the proud owner of it.  I think he's right into retro games.  (As well as having new games consol, I haven't a clue what it is)

So far, my PS5 has...

 

- Outgrown my TV cabinet so is now sitting next to it, looking like the chunkiest WiFi router on the market.

- Corrupted half my save files when transferring my PS4 data onto it.

- Died a death twice during a game, then both times forced me to re-do updates before I can re-enter them.

- Made console-sharing a right fuck-arse, despite saying it’d simplify it from the method used on the PS4 (which worked immediately).

- Ran out of HDD storage twice, the first time because it wanted to download both the PS4 and PS5 versions of games like a fucking idiot.

- Confused the living piss out of me with it’s less-than-intuitive ‘Game Base’; nobody complained with the Friends List layout on the 4 so why toss it in the bin?

- Made mic chat a bit worse by playing audio both through my headset AND my controller, meaning we can hear ourselves back. I’ll have to dig around for a setting on this, there must be one somewhere.

- Rendered the DS5 almost permanently wired, such is the woeful battery life of the admittedly otherwise nice controller. 

 

So, overall, it’s an absolute triumph!
