Who Should Make The Deathlist In 2021?

I think the Queen is very well, but the committee will put her on because imagine missing that one!

Phillip has to go on, and if any other royals go on it should be Katharine of Kent.

Also, I would second (or third, or two-hundred-and-twenty-fourth) Marsha Hunt, Bernard Cribbins, Larry King, Beverly Cleary, Benedict XVI, and Jiang Zemin.

I recenty saw a 1937 John Wayne movie with Marsha Hunt as the female lead. Every single person involved in that movie is dead.

Do you have proof of her death?

According to wiki, she's still alive.

I believe they meant that everyone with the exception of Hunt is dead.

IMDB doesn't have deaths listed for three castmembers though. Hunt, obviously. Johnny Boyle, who was a choreographer that taught Jimmy Cagney how to dance, doesn't have a death I can find quickly online but he was born in 1900, so it's safe to say he's gone. However, the onus is on you to find proof that John Patterson is dead.

There are two Marsha Hunts. One is a white actress born in 1917 and yes, she is still alive aged 103! Perhaps her best- remembered role nowadays is in the Outer Limits episode "Zzzzz" as a woman whose scientist husband is seduced by a bee.

The other Marsha Hunt is a black singer born in 1946, best known now for having a child by Mick Jagger. At 75 next year maybe not a bad pick?

At least if she was a singer she has a claim to her own fame otherwise she would be an FFBI*

pick.

Trevor Peacock has also had advanced dementia for years and turns 90 next year. He's often overlooked but there will definitely be a media buzz when he dies, considering how iconic his character was in The Vicar of Dibley.

Yeah, I personally think it’ll be hard for Kissinger to return to the list given he’s already on the list...

Putin would be a ridiculous waste of a pick. He's going to be around for many more years.

Any thoughts on who might be a surprise 2021 death? Although lots of very famous people have died in 2020 most of them have been over 80 so can't be considered surprises. Chadwick Boseman is the only massive surprise death that came out of nowhere for me. I suppose Sarah Harding or the bloke from the Wanted if either of them die before the end of the year considering where they were at the start of 2020.

I have an idea, but if I told it, it wouldn't be a surprise anymore.

Oh please no more crazy relatives to go on the 2021 list like we had this year. Granted William H Gates provided a hit but just doesn’t strike as a memorable inclusion/hit as far as I am concerned.

I am CONVINCED that Lee Child is very unwell.

On recent interviews over the last year he's looked strikingly thin (he has always been slim, but never as near-skeletal as recently). He smokes marijuana unashamedly (pain relief?)  and now freely comments on it (not sure if it's a new habit, but him talking about it is). He has recently handed over writing duties of his Jack Reacher books to his younger brother. He's had an authorised biography written and published. In a recent interview with that biographer from the Hay Festival she kept using language like "final", "last", and when I commented on it on twitter she even "liked" the post! The whole interview was strikingly elegiac.

I may be barking up the wrong tree, but...

John "statistically shown to be a total annoying cunt who believes he is cool because some cunt found his sheepskin retro and stylish and since his retirement is now on every fucking radio ad known to mankind and has been a boring fucking prick all his life and some fucker on a radio programme said he was a cunting national fucking treasure" Motson. Outside of that he is getting on a bit. Nothing else to go on.
