With equal due respect to maryport and CalebH (whom I know little of but as a Quarterfinal opponent will clearly be tough) but Spade couldn't have got a dream draw any better if he'd rigged it himself! I've always said that "easy" teams make tougher opponents in the DL Cup because you're playing against picks that you wouldn't have gone for. All it takes is for your carefully selected squad of high school lacrosse coaches to stay alive another 30 days and a couple of Drop 40 names to cark it, and you're screwed. Basically now that FFBI are officially banned from the DDP I basically went the route of if they’re famous enough there, then they are also famous enough here. Of course, cases not in the DDP are still viewed under discretion, but that’s beside the point. Four cup pickers had her on their squad, with Chorizo gaining joker points as well. Msc is leading now in his tie as is Spade and Chorizo Then there’s one of those classic cup picks, Indian politicians. Perhaps noted his death hoax in this thread but only three competitors ended up picking him. Reptile is in the lead thanks two having 2 hits compared with Chorizo’s one, whereas Banana takes the lead in his tie and Spade expands his even more against Maryport. If he's ill too then that's definitely at death's many doors. I did have Navalny on my long-list but decided it'd be a bad pick - but he could starve/get poisoned/get ill because his immune system is fucked etc. Re the eight uniques. DL Cup really isn't my strongest game in dead pooling but it struck me as ironic that my team is something of an outlier for having perennial talent like Bouteflika on the list.
