Jack Hedley’s sudden death has brought another similar character actor, John Cairney, back to my attention as a potential pick for the 2022 DL.

With fears about a russian invasion of Ukraine next year  should more deadpoolers  be considering  Volodmyr Zelensky  the President of Ukraine  for their teams?

He would likely flee Kyiv before any Russian’s made it to Kyiv.

Maybe this will start WW3. WW3 has got to happen sometime I suspect.

The general theory within IR is that it won’t, because too many countries have nuclear capabilities now.

Phyllida Law, Johnny Gilbert, Ethel Kennedy, William Russell, Leonard Fenton and Kenneth Cope should all be considered for the 2022 DL.

No idea if she's actually notable enough, nor if she would obit, but Anastasia Golovashkina, former social media director of Elizabeth Warren, has Glioblastoma:

I only know that because of today's tweet of her, which I was unable to link to from here.

The TJ Ducklo of 2022?

Isn't he still working as the Jeopardy announcer?

He does. In a more reduced capacity than before due to his age and the pandemic (nowadays they typically have other staff serve as announcer onstage, then he records over the lines from home), but he still sounds fantastic.

Given you are on the Cmme, we'd hope so, else this post is a bit Jack Palance in Shane.

"You all saw him, he picked a FFBI pick..."

:D

(Yes, before any pedants reply, I do know Bill Hicks made that entire story up. It's still funny.)

What do you all think about Alice Munro? The Canadian author and Nobel Prize will turn 91 next year (10th of July) and she had a cancer and heart problems back in October 2009.

Might be good to put Jane Goodall for a possiblity. She is 87 years old and getting on a bit.

Saw Jane Goodall interviewed a couple of months ago if that on the BBC. Looked with it and determined to carry on. Think she will see 90 at least.

If that’s the criteria the committee ought to pick Janey Godley too.

1) Prince Andrew

2) Prince Charles

3-50) Smörgåsbord of Tory MPs.

As a lefty I’d thought you’d have lots of time for Charles.

Meh, could’ve picked any royal really. But I don’t base whether I like a person on their politics, unless of course their moral judgements make them a cunt.

Cunts are as cunts will do, probably, but Al-Fayed might be a better pick because he is meant to be in failing health now...

Rumours circulating about the death of celebrity chief Tim Bilton nothing confirmed yet.

But if he can last till the new year one for the 2022 list certainly on borrowed time
