Ideas and possibilities for 2023

Recommended Posts

I think the former Archbishop of Canterbury   George Carey in his late 80s  is at least worth serious .consideration by deadpoolers.

Lots of this list wouldn’t look out of place in the Punt Pool.

Also, this belongs in the Shadow List thread, not this one.

In the off chance the committee are reading this I am going to toss out a few names

1. Mathair Muhammad: 98 next year with a history of heart disease. Absolute political giant I his country of Malaysia and was in the headlines a couple of years back for controversial statements. Also recently lost his first election

2. Eugenia Cooney: Severely Aneroxic YouTuber who has been fighting a very public battle with an eating disorder. Probably a change from who you usually include on the list but I think including her on the main deathlist will introduce this site to a lot of new people.

3-5 Ruth Buzzi, Chaim Topol and Edie McClourg: All 3 are according to reports deeply in the throes of dementia.

6. Zhu Rongi: 95 next year and has parkinsons for several years at this point. Former Premier (basically prime minister) to the world's biggest country. Definitely sick enough and famous enough

7.Manmohan Singh: Former Indian PM who is over 90 years old with diabetes and heart disease. Surely he can't last much longer

8. Giorgio Napolitano: Italian political giant. 98 in 2023 and is clearly in failing health. Significant enough for inclusion.

9. Martti Ahtisaari: Former Finland PM with dementia who hasn't been seen in public in years.

There's many more as well but I just thought I'd mention these names.

Without a nuclear apocalypse (not impossible sadly) I'd say Freeman, Norris, Stallone, Ford, Worth, Gabriel and Jagger in particular are all very unlikely to croak in 2023.

Jagger --- not a chance by natural causes for a long, long time.   He exercises religiously, and I don't believe he does drugs or alcohol.   Probably the same can be said of Stallone.

Chuck Norris will never die (physically he might, but he will live on in cyberspace for centuries).   (joking of course)

I hate to say this because he's a hero, but I think Ray Davies (b. 1944) might be one to consider. Maybe not 2023 but still.

He's gone pretty quiet and I've heard first-hand some quite sad stories about drinking from fairly recently.

There's no such person as "The King of England". You were told that in the other thread.

Roache is still appearing regularly and seems to be in great shape for someone approaching 91.He has lost a little weight since April but still looks like he has a few years left.Knox is also appearing in Corrie and looks fairly well for 89.Chitell and Worth are baffling additions.Still relatively young  in deadpool terms, active and with no known health problems.

Whilst I think she still looks good for her age, she has declined quite a large amount this year, is beginning to look quite frail

I have no other information, but anyone looking for a last minute punt might consider one I overlooked for next year and never seemingly mentioned on the Forum: Chris Emmett.

His associations with Barry Took, Roy Hudd and Spitting Image should gain him the required obits. He'll be 85 late next year.

A bit of a suprise. India's Prime Minister/her son Narendra Modi visited her around 15 hours ago and said that she was "recovering". Statement from the hospital pretty much said that she was going to be discharged in a day or two.

The only thing that made me even consider she might die was politician/cricket influencer/jaw cancer survivor Sharad "I'll outlive you" Pawar saying that Narendra Modi is in a difficult phase of his life. Pawar's probably currently crossing another name off his own deathlist.
