Arthur Duncan, tap dancer and regular on the Betty White show 1952-1954 and member of Bob Hope's troupe is still alive and will be 89 this year. Mentioned on this forum once before in 2005

Arghton, I think you made a very good suggestion with Arthur Duncan. He died on 4th January 2023.

He (Try Sutrisno, Suharto's VP) now visited by Indonesia's VP:

https://news.detik.com/berita/d-6481996/wapres-maruf-besuk-try-sutrisno-di-rspad-ungkap-kondisi-terkini

He doesn't look great but a bit better than a week ago. He's been in that hospital for almost a full month now and seems like he's undergoing cell treatment for cancer.

Try Sutrisno was rumoured dead again two weeks ago, but currently he is not hospitalised and is "doing great".

It's probably nothing but may be worth keeping an eye on Mike Oldfield (b. 1953).

Next month will mark six years since his last studio album, the last time he did anything in the public eye.

50th anniversary Tubular Bells tour is happening without him next year. His long-term collaborator Robin Smith is arranging and conducting it but no sign of Oldfield. It may be that he's just happy to retire but you'd expect him to mark it himself in some way, considering the previous sequels, re-recordings and tours.

New Tubular Bells 50th anniversary edition features a five-year-old demo, “Tubular Bells 4 Intro”, that is being publicised as “the last-ever recording from Mike”, now retired.

American basketball coach Lou Carnesecca is now 98 years old which is the age I was hoping he would make it too which was the age American comedian Carl Reiner passed away at.  I am also hoping Carnesecca will surpass Reiner at the time of his death, but I am not saying that Carnesecca will definitely make it to 100.  So, Carnesecca is on my list for 2023 which is this year.

Something for me to remember is that not everyone makes it to the 2023 list or is on the 2023 list.

Numpty.

names i'm considering outside of the ones in the above lists, or featured on the DL main (note: depending on your location they may not meet the fame requirement):

  • Ted Turner (television producer: founder of CNN/TNT), 84, lewy body dementia since 2018
  • Michael Caine (actor), 89, old and frail, yall are aware
  • Borje Salming (hall of fame hockey player), 71, ALS, already lost ability to speak and eat
  • Stella Stevens (actress), 84, dementia for years (tip of the hat to goosebury for the suggestion elsewhere on the site)
  • Lindsey Buckingham (fleetwood mac), 73, emergency heart surgery in 2019 and undisclosed 'ongoing' health issues cancelling all concerts this year (not even postponing) and lack of updates.
  • Alice Munro (nobel prize-winning author), 91, in poor health for years (i'm stubborn and will keep her on my list until she goes)
  • Sir Quentin Blake (artist, and illustrator: Roald Dahl), 90, just old (one of those 'surprised he's still alive' entries)
  • Gordon Lightfoot (Singer), 84, emphysema and somewhat frail
  • Roger Corman (Director/Producer) 96, just old

others that i'm considering for the role of joker, just because of general health concerns: Phil Collins, Salman Rushdie, Jimmy Buffet, Tim Curry

Borje Salming, Stella Stevens and now Gordon Lightfoot. I think wildstorm we should be following your lead.

I have my own list of individuals for June 2023 and I even added a specific date of prediction for these individuals for this month too.

Leon Cooper: 02/28/1930 – 06/01/2023

Ken Jacobs: 05/25/1933 – 06/06/2023

Hans Albert: 02/08/1921 – 06/12/2023

Bud Anderson: 01/13/1922 – 06/16/2023

Joel Grey: 04/11/1932 – 06/17/2023

Frederick Wiseman: 01/01/1930 – 06/17/2023

Marita Camacho Quirós: 03/10/1911 – 06/20/2023

Lloyd Geering: 02/26/1918 – 06/21/2023

Alan Greenspan: 03/06/1926 – 06/22/2023 (Sub for both, Alan Greenspan and Charles Peters is Tony Bennett: 08/03/1926 – 06/22/2023)

Lou Carnesecca: 01/05/1925 – 06/24/2023

Marion Ross: 10/25/1928 – 06/26/2023 (Subs for Marion Ross is Ann Blyth: 08/16/1928 – 06/26/2023, and Sheila Jordan: 11/14/1928 – 06/26/2023)

Josip Manolić: 03/22/1920 – 06/27/2023

Charles Peters: 12/22/1926 – 06/29/2023

The reason I included the birth years 1911, 1918, 1920, 1921, 1925, 1926, 1932, and 1933 to be grouped together for this month is because the last two digits of these years reminded me of the last two digits of flfleet numbers for older buses from a transit system in my area that were still in service a little more than a decade ago when there were gaps between units for their fleet numbers and the reason I included 1928 and 1930 to be grouped in this month too is because 1928 was the year my paternal grandfather was born while 1930 was the year my late maternal grandfather was born.  Coincidentally, 1933 was also the year my late maternal grandmother was born.

Joey Grey was on my possibility list for this month and this year.  The reason is because Loretta Lynn sadly passed away in October of 2022 and I feel like Loretta needs a celebrity with a similar birth date to be reunited with.
