I take it you mean  Apfel  not Apple!:D

No no, I was just being clever and translated the name from German to English! Or it was a bleary-eyed early morning gaffe on my part…I’ll leave it to you to judge which one

Do you anticipate that it might go something like this  very bitchy catfight between  Alexis and Krystal in Dynasty  especially in the event of a draw?!:P

I won't speculate too much on which one of us is  Joan Collins (Alexis) or Linda Evans (Krystal)!!

I was so ready to claim Joan, then I watched the fight…actually my track record in the cup isn’t dazzling, it’s probably a fair enough comparison :D

Spade just for info you’ve got a mixture of Jane Marcewski and Nightbirde across the teams.

Cheers, GUN

And here are the fixtures for round 2, as drawn by Barry Cryer and Miss USA 2019 Chelsie Kryst. Teams due in midnight February 28th. Probably don't bother submitting until the end of the month though, yeah?

Again, I did not enable the #narrative function, but we have a round 2 clash of former champions.

I mean, he's a pal, someone I co-ran the DDP with and genuinely one of the nicest people on the forum, but still, it would really help my meagre Cup chances if you could KO @gcreptile, thanks. :D

Oh dear, well, guess I have to dive into the swamp that is Facebook.

Edit: It is our first match-up though. Eventually, it had to happen.

Hi Spade - only 32 jokers - I've checked and it's Sinead O'Connor, Masterfull's joker, is not asterisked.

A bit of analysis from the picks list.

191 picks of which 142 were unique including 13 unique jokers.

Most popular pick was obviously Frank Field picked by 24 of the 33 teams.

Most popular joker was again Frank Field picked by 8 of those 24 teams.

The only other joker picked by more than one team was Jorge Spedaletti.

Most popular unjokered pick was Olsen Filipaina picked by 6 teams.

The full top 9 most popular picks (there were 4 in a tie for 10th place) were as follows

Name Picks
Frank Field    24
Susie Steiner    12
George Perez    11
Kane Tanaka    11
Pele     10
Isabel Torres    8
Vicky Phelan    8
Jorge Spedaletti    7
Olsen Filipaina    6

With all those uniques and unique jokers there is plenty of scope for some wild results.

Yeah, far too lazy to do analysis and stats to go with this so the above is much appreciated. The field does strike me as very fitting for some shock results - no slam dunks immediately visible and a lot of people who could drop dead tomorrow or could go on December 31st. Should be an interesting round.

No no, I was just being clever and translated the name from German to English! Or it was a bleary-eyed early morning gaffe on my part…I’ll leave it to you to judge which one

I was so ready to claim Joan, then I watched the fight…actually my track record in the cup isn’t dazzling, it’s probably a fair enough comparison :D

Time will tell which one of us is Alexis and Krystal

I would add that although Krystal won the physical fight in my opinion  Alexis  overall had the best witty  one liners! I'm not sure if that assists us in deciding which of us is which person!

The problem is the host has to have their team in before anyone else sends their team in. I used to send mine to Cat but that is no longer possible, alas.

Yes but he doesn’t have to look at any emails until a couple days out.  That will allow him to have a puncher’s chance, not that the great Spade Cooley needs it.  I trust him not to look and frankly most of those turned in early wouldn’t be very helpful.

Time will tell which one of us is Alexis and Krystal

I would add that although Krystal won the physical fight in my opinion  Alexis  overall had the best witty  one liners! I'm not sure if that assists us in deciding which of us is which person!

Right, how about whoever loses this round changes their avatar to Alexis for at least the duration of the cup? :D

Most popular pick was obviously Frank Field picked by 24 of the 33 teams.

I always feel like I’ve missed something when this happens.  He eluded my searching.  Time will tell but usually the hoi poloi are correct.

I'm very tempted! I'm a bit rubbish with technology though so it will take me a while to shrink a Joan Collins picture and upload  it in the unlikely event I lose :P;) but that's a deal!

It was a tricky find tbf, I think a lot of Cup players remembered when Willz almost won the entire Cup due to him and double checked his health ahead of this season

The bet is on! None of your SC-style “5 pounds of (shit) coffee” bollocks, this is how we do wagers in the United Queendom.

Please note that SC isn't making a wager, he is making a guarantee.  It doesn't require another party to the transaction.

I think having seen @Pop_Zeus team, their entrance music should be Justified And Ancient by The KLF.

There shall be no shame in going out to a bunch of supercentenarians/centenarians.

I'm already considering my exit music...:P

Haha, I’m not convinced that picking a bunch of old farts was the best idea. Low hanging fruit they may be, doesn’t mean any of them are more likely to kick the bucket though. A lot of centenarians seem to go on, and on, and on. I had to look up all but 4 of your team. Game on!

Yeah, far too lazy to do analysis and stats to go with this so the above is much appreciated. The field does strike me as very fitting for some shock results - no slam dunks immediately visible and a lot of people who could drop dead tomorrow or could go on December 31st. Should be an interesting round.

I would definitely put my tie with BabyBLue into the category of potential upsets (assuming I was favourite for that match!). As expected, BabyBlue has a team full of old, mostly European, celebrities who could go at any time. Most importantly, most of them are uniques which makes it a very dangerous team. Only takes a couple of them to hit, and I am already in a big hole in what may well be a relatively quiet month. Not a single unique on my team which makes me think that either people are getting better at this game, or I did not scrape nearly hard enough at the bottom of that barrel.

I will be very happy to scrape through this one.
