The ending still has to be written.

Well, his regular troops haven't been up to the job so far.

Telegraph reporting that satellite images show a 3 mile column of tanks and troops heading to Kyiv.

Sadly, I'm not sure that the Ukrainians, and indeed Zelensky, will be able to hold out for much longer.

Unless fact – every President of Ukraine is still living so if Zelenskyy or Poroshenko die in action, they'll be creating a new club.

Leonid Kravchuk (b. 1934) 1991–1994
Leonid Kuchma (b. 1938) 1994–2005
Viktor Yushchenko (b. 1954) 2005–2010
Viktor Yanukovych (b. 1950) 2010–2014
Oleksandr Turchynov (b. 1964) 2014
Petro Poroshenko (b. 1965) 2014–2019
Volodymyr Zelenskyy (b. 1978) 2019–

Kravchuk being widely reported as dead on the Twitter.

Might be a hoax, let's see if it is confirmed.

If true, I just namechecked him in the obit for the Belarus guy two days ago! Even quicker mention-to-death span than Liz Sheridan.

It's always random cases like that and never the Kissinger jokes...

He's (Kravchuk) currently recovering from a heart surgery he had in June 2021.

Seems like he never completely recovered.

First post-Independence Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitold Fokin is still alive, will be 90, not 89 this year.

As far as I know all (not sure about former acting Pres Turchynov) except Yanukovych the traitor have made an appearance at farewell ceremonies for Kravchuk today.

As Gennady Burbulis has died, Fokin is now the last living signatory of the Belovezh accords.

So, he's in the UK and about to address Parliament.

Which probably means the perennially absent Boris Johnson might turn up to the Houses of Parliament. I hope foregoing the hundreds of thousands of pounds he's raking in for interviews and speeches is worth it - we know he is struggling by on his meagre income.

Anyhoo, no doubt Zelenskyy will ask for all kinds of weaponry which the UK can't or won't provide.

And where's his tie? Formal etiquette demands it.

No tie for meeting the King either.

Still think his assassination would big a big trigger point for WW3. With the attempts at Putin's life it'll be interesting if there's any reprisals. Also worth noting Zelensky is out of the country conveniently when it happened.
