Igor Belanov apparently literally fighting in the trenches (he doesn't seem to have social media, so no clue if this is just a photo op and he's doing more support work or he's actually literally fighting. He's 62, so he's not covered under the government's order requiring men 18-60 to stay in the country and fight).

This account has a good gallery of some of the more notable, notable-ish or just interesting Russian deaths of the war. Colonel Alexander Bespalov, 59th tank regiment commander killed. Lt. Col Dinar Khametov also killed.

Former Ukrainian PM candidate Oleksandr Rzhavskyy killed in Bucha. Irony of ironies, he was extremely pro-Russian during his campaign, though he seemingly changed his mind when the invasion happened (if I'm reading the translation of the death notice correctly). He was 63.

Putin's personal friend, Ukrainian business oligarch, head of a pro-Putin party, former parliament member and former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk has been caught by the Security Service of Ukraine. He had escaped house arrest on the 28th of February.

Putin's also the godfather of one of his children. Hope they'll get some information out of him.

No information on losses, anything yet, Russians claim that it was an ammunition explosion.

The Moskva was the ship of "Russian warship go fuck yourself" fame

This happened either day of or day after (depending on your time zone) Ukrainian postal services officially released the Russian warship go fuck yourself stamp.

Ah, I love the smell of trolling in the morning.

Russian oligarch in exile Nevzlin claims Shoigu is either disabled or a dead man walking after a major heart attack that has left him hooked up to a million machines. To no one's surprise, the heart attack was reportedly not a natural occurrence

Vladimir Khromchenkov, Captain 2nd rank of landing ship BDK-65 Saratov dead after being kept alive in hospital since the 24th of March after his ship was turned into a submarine:

Russia has also released a video of the "survivors of Moskva" with around 50-100 "survivors", an unusual amount of them being senior officers and none of them wounded. Clearly staged and the guy who they probably intended to look like the captain of the ship doesn't look like him.

Donetsk militia command spokesman Eduard Basurin has reportedly been purged for revealing chemical weapon use.

One of the Crimea annexation masterminds Colonel Igor Girkin/Strelkov might be next. He recently said that "Putin will be forced to fight until victory or the Hague, there is no longer a third option" and has been criticising him a lot recently

The situation in Mariupol is increasingly looking like it's a matter of days, if not hours. On humanitarian grounds, it's going to be an utter catastrophe, even worse than what it is rn.

In terms of names coming out of there, keep an eye out for the statuses of Denys Prokopenko, Azov leader in the city, and Sergiy Volyna, the head of the team of Ukrainian marines fighting w/ Azov. Both are saying they'll go down with the city, and I fully expect they'll refuse to be captured come what may. If they do go down, they'll be the biggest military names the Ukrainians have lost since the start of the war, I'm pretty sure.

According to EU officials there are up to around 20000 wagner group soldiers in Ukraine:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/apr/19/russia-deployed-20000-mercenaries-ukraine-donbas-region

However seems like most of them don't have proper equipment and some (most?) are former soldiers from Syria, Libya etc paid to fight there.

Atleast around 3000 wagner group soldiers have been killed in Ukraine this far. The group was estimated to have around 6000 mercenaries in 2017.

Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar made a deal with Putin and sent some of his forces to Ukraine last month but seems like the Libyan militants have been used as cannon fodder.

Better keep an eye on Lt. Col Dmitry Utkin and Col Konstantin Pikalov. Utkin is the neonazi founder of Wagner group, there are a lot of people out there who want him dead. Putin might get rid of him or arrest him if Wagner suffers more losses.

Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik are the Heads of State of Donetsk and Luhansk. There's also Major Gen. Denis Sinekov, Commander of Donetsk people's militia who I have mentioned before here and Guards Colonel Yan Leschenko, his Luhansk counterpart. There's also Sergey Kozlov, the Donetsk Prime Minister and Sergey Aksyonov, Head of the Republic of Crimea. Their lives probably aren't worth much in this situation

So, this happened. We don't have names yet, but it is worth noting that Arestovich was the first person from Ukraine to say the Moskva had been hit and sunk, which obviously turned out to be as true as it is possible to be. I'm sure once names start to trickle out, there'll be some relevant people on the list.

As to why 50 officers were congregating in the same place, your guess is good as mine. But that's my opinion regarding most of Russia's moves thus far, so.

Back to this, these aren't the first two oligarchs to cark it mysteriously since the invasion. Full list here:

In other news, the Moscow Oblast governor's mansion is burning, following the burning of a number of key defense facilities in Russia, the arson of at least 5 military recruitment locations, and the failure of a dam which lead to a village flooding. In case you were wondering how things were going in the Motherland.

Found this on the internet, hasn't been updated for the (unconfirmed) deaths of the 50 officers in Kherson, a few Senior Lieutenants (including a Chechen one) and other officers killed/confirmed dead during the last few days and Shoigu's reappearance.

There's also an interesting twitter account called KilledinUkraine that posts stuff information about the killed Russian officers.

Full list of named Russian officers who have been KIA/WIA/MIA since the start of the war. Missing details on the Kherson attack due to lack of names, but I'm sure we'll get there.

The source of both your infographic @arghton and this list is a Reddit user by the username panzerfan. IDK if they're also running the Twitter account or not.

Intelligence officer Putin killed:

Vladimir "Putin" Gutsov. No idea why his call sign was "Putin".

Also seems like Russia's puppet "state" Donetsk PR has some internal conflict now. Hoping Denis Pushilin finally gets what he deserves.

Rumors going around that Russia's Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov will personally command Russian troops in Izyum and has been sent to the front.

If he's actually there as reported, my guess it that he'll be dead by Victory Day.
