Bruce Willis

Recommended Posts

So.... they announced it after he got the Golden Raspberry for his bad acting in the past year. Probably because it had become obvious to everyone? But of course, they knew it before and have known it for quite some time.

Peter Falk was in Pressure Point with Sidney Poitier who was in The Jackal with Bruce Willis.

Damn.  If he has primary progressive aphasia, life expectancy from that diagnosis is 3-12 years.

S'cuse the pedantry but to retire from something don't you have to have started it in the first place?

The mother in law thinks that, at times ( when I am looking all menacing, maybe) I look like him.

Surely the fact it’s his family announcing it could be significant. Many people with this type of condition are capable of still releasing a written statement. So it must be towards the more secure end not just affecting his actual speech.

Fucking hell, if people who have never met me on here imagine who I am now they might have a mental image of Bruce Willis taking out terrorists in that skyscraper. B)

Who would want to if they had it!!

I should imagine he is devastated, I doubt that he would be able to give an upbeat statement.

His family took that burden from him.

Yes they do but not everybody.

Some find it too emotionally stressful.

Can aphasia kill you ?

If it is Primary Progressive Aphasia which is a form of Dementia then yes.

Depends on when he was diagnosed. Most people apparently live for 12 years however Terry Jones of Monty Python died 4 and a half years after diagnosis.
