Elena Huelva would be a hit for Banana and me, once an english obit appears.

Aye, the strange power of posting a tumbleweed, eh?

So, how's about this then (heh heh) I'll award provisional points on the back of a Spanish report that easily offered me an English translation, you and/or Banana confirm with a proper English obit -and everyone else piles on if you or Bananan are in serious danger of winning and a proper English obit hasn't appeared.

Spanish report:

I'm assuming there'll be keen interest in the existence or otherwise of an English qo for the Spanish influencer once it becomes obvious that it's had a profound impact on the battle to win the prestigious and generous prize, or summat

Bessie Hendricks, who died on January 3rd, is a hit for @deadsox here.

So - Vialli's date of death is nowhere yet but it's either today or yesterday and his impact on the scoreboard will be seismic - Banana snags over 700 points and sails past the winning total - his few point deficit to AFB at the moment being a minor consideration. The total will appear once the date is confirmed but feel free to pile on the congratulations now

Gianlucca Vialli – af, ba*, bb, bk, cc, ch, db*, dg, di, dr, et, gf, gr, hl, jm, jr, mn, mp, ms, na*, rg*,su, tc, to, tq, tt, tw*

Congratulations Banana.

Anyone remember when this used to stretch out for months?

Discussion on DDP thread that Princess Bajrakitiyabha is dead, though no confirmation - can't see it changing the winner - Toast being the main beneficiary if she proves to have gone before Vialli and Toast being way more than 700 points off a winning total. If more than one person goes over the line at the same time the winner is the highest overall points score and Banana has her, An Fear Beag doesn't. Might go and attend to the day job for a few hours and let the evidence present itself.

Congratulations Banana on the back to back wins.

On a side note, is this the fastest Deathrace of all time?

On a sidenote - dunno and I'm not enough of an anorak to check but I don't think this pool  covered itself in glory the year it allowed Death Row on board. Bear in mind we started a day early this time.

My pleasure comes from doing my job in the best possible way. Whether it is at Chelsea or Juventus or Watford, or delivering the goods for back-to-back Banana wins in the Deathrace, it does not really matter.

Reet - he died 6 Jan, may have been beaten by a Thai princess, which makes a difference to the scoreboard.

Away for a curry and beer - final reckoning will follow, feel free to post any relevant deaths missed so far - I'm assuming Banana has won regardless.
