Robert Solow

True, but he is also known enough, for his own thread. Plus, don't they need their own thread, to get picked, otherwise one gets made for them? ;) :D

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Solow Here's his wiki, he'll be 99 next year, and would make a great candidate, for next year.

Has been on my shadow list this year. A good option for "random old person" when the Committee needs one

He's been on my radar, but doesn't strike me as DL-worthy given that he isn't especially famous or known to be ailing. Also, there are a bunch of ancient Nobel laureates out there with no known health problems, so it's probably hard to pick just one of them.

Who goes first? Solow? John Goodenough? Yang Chen-Ning? Rudolph A. Marcus? Roger Guillemin? Torsten Wiesel? Esaki?

@Lewd_Squirrel, you mentioned Robert Fucking Solow twenty-five times in the last two years.

Should I remember you you also created a thread for the man of your dreams?

Well, he's old, what do you expect. :P He'll be 100 next August, and is a Nobel Prize winner. Do you have a problem we me making nominee suggestions? Other make the same amount, or more, for others. And, in 2 year, 25 times isn't that bad. I can do it more, if you insist. Or would you rather I just be your namesake, and act Drol(l)?

Oh, that’s hit 17 for me then ! A sad News, I learned about the Solow Paradox in high school, 10 years ago. I really thought he would have been deserving of his own spot on the list… RIP
