There's been enough chat on here about several ex-Corrie actors. But hey why not just go to IMDB and stick a pin in 5 names and a sub?

Remember, you might not need any of them to die to win.

That's what I am doing with the F1 drivers. Either that or bribing @Octopus of Odstockfor inside info!

Tbh Corrie has been on so long there are numerous actors I had no idea did about twenty episodes in the seventies in-between their more famous roles!

I have no idea about that category.

My auntie (friend of the family) adores Formula 1. I don't see the appeal, but then watching footballers writhing around on the grass as I have done for days doesn't do it for me either. (Very disappointed with the quality of eye candy in the World Cup! If @Gooseberry Crumble wants to challenge me to pick one out however...) but I digress.

I just went to one year on Wiki, picked out a few names and jotted them down.

Haven't watched Corrie in decades, Oscars I watch but probably instantly forget - the best films generally don't get nommed or win. BRITS - James Corden, 'nuff said? Time 100? Do I care about millionaires?

Anyway, my team is in and therefore they live as long as this game is a long drawn out affair!

Question - Does having an Outstanding Contribution to Music award count as having a competitive Brit Award?

Biblio gets the final ruling, but as the round setter, eliminating such categories was exactly the intention of the 'competitive' criteria. Lifetime achievement, special award, outstanding contribution - stuff they just give you for being around a long time - are not valid. Got to be won against other nominees. And I'll take this opportunity to say I'm not sure I've ever watched the Brit Awards, I just wanted a music category!

How would this apply to score composers and performers?

For example, The Phantom of the Opera. A composer & two lyricists. Then you also have the cast.

There is one name that everyone should have so probably won't matter.

Who collected the award?

I agree thus is for the competitive awards where there are nominations.

As was the case for the Grammy category back in game 2

Well when Notting Hill won, a supporting actress accepted so idk if that's the criteria you'd want to use.

We are talking here about BRIT awards for the British Music Industry. Did Notting Hill win a Brit award? BAFTAs could be a separate future category.

For original soundtrack albums I will accept any named performer/character on a track. Not just cast/chorus.

Compilation tracks which use existing music are not eligible picks

This is honestly becoming more confusing. Can you please take a look at the Top Gun soundtrack and give some insight on what would be accepted picks please.

Using Top Gun as an example.

Harold Faltermeyer, Giorgio Morodor and Tom Whitlock would count plus any named artist who performed as song written for the film. Song that had previously been hits artists are not eligible unless they are recorded especially for the film e.g Groovy Kind of Love was recorded by Phil Collins for Buster.

If you are going tenuous on this category include justification in your entry

My entry has been sent to @YoungWillz for safe keeping in case any of those subs are needed to be called in

Four lists in so far and will begin the process of verifying the picks

Do make sure you include a sub in each category. One entry has not so far.

Mine is half complete and i'm now realising there are a lot of people called Jackie in motorsports. Got to go through Oscar winners and Time's 100.

I have just edited the main page to clarify that Classical Brits awards are not included in this game - Popular music only and no non-competitive categories

I hope that doesn't send you scurrying back to the drawing board

I wonder if I can get Mick Fleetwood and Sam Fox to host the awards.......

Apologies for this late ruling but I only became aware of the Classical Brits when doing verification on an already submitted entry. My concern was that we would not be comparing apples with apples.
