gcreptile 10,979 Posted April 15, 2023 Alright, update time! Let's walk back in time. First up, fashion designer Mary Quant, a hit for a couple for people. Followed by,... no Ben Ferencz, no Al Jaffee... okay, it's Andres Garcia. A Mexican actor from "The Golden Age of Mexican cinema", but in later years better known as an actor in telenovelas. A unique hit for Summer in Transylvania, well done. Next up, deathlist hits Nigel Lawson and Ryuichi Sakamoto. Lots of points for everyone! Joe Moneypenny gets joker points for the Japanese composer. Then Bill Butler, the Oscar-winning cinematographer is a unique hit for Diego. Cpt. Hemlock gets a unique hit with Mark Russell. The American satirist is a typical left-field unique hit for him and the rare New York Times QO (though I see now that he also got Yahoo). Then Death Impends gets the unique hit with one-hit wonder Napoleon XIV. Otis Taylor is a good catch for Wormfarmer. LadyFiona is currently waiting for an obit for Kenneth McAlpine. It should arrive eventually. As I admire Gooseberry's 7 hits so far, the with the most hits is Funeralopolis with 9 of them. Unfortunately though there's also a Kate Keltie joker. Maybe an angry donor to her gofundme can make things right? Scoreboard is here: Rank Team Score 1 Banana 538 2 Perhaps 515 3 Funeralopolis 435 4 Salmon Mousse 403 5 JoeyRuss 373 6 Cpt. gcreptile 10,979 Posted April 16, 2023 He'll get something that counts here. Maybe only at the BBC year-end list, but it will come. Obits that count here are everything that counts for the DDP + New York Times.
Sam081 4 Posted April 16, 2023 I know that this is my first year doing this and it shows. None of mine have passed. It must be a great relief to all my nominees to be on my list - it appears to be a very safe place!!

Never thought I'd see the day when I had this many more more hits in a deadpool than a forum legend and deadpooling extraordinaire like you @YoungWillz !! Well, I'm definitely bad at deadpooling. I measure my success by survival, generally.... I'm normally at least a couple of years too early with my picks, then I forget about them. Long live my teams. (except this year, this year's my year for something, right?).
