I'm not comfortable with revealing my birthday online. Nothing to do with age, it's security issues.  It's surprising how much information people give away about themselves on forums and social media, data that can be harvested.

I realise that this would only expose the week of my birthday, but I'm not going there.  Whenever I have to give a date of birth online I give my next door neighbour's DOB.  :)

For 90% of the population the answer would be fucking Bryan Adams anyway, and you wouldn't be giving anything away :D

She’s finally moving in the correct direction.  Need to prop up 6th place every time to inch (mm) her closer.  Yesterday ‘The Screech Owl’ was 38 points clear of 6th place; now a mere 17.

I’ve no particular dislike of The Jam or Paul Weller, but that song is toss I’m afraid (as is Going Underground). Down In The Tube Station At Midnight is fucking brilliant and some of Weller’s solo stuff is great too.

Why do you not like Town Called Malice then? I assumed it was the "oim Paul Wellah, wot u lookin @?" of it all. It's sort of a predecessor to all the eclectic genre-mashing indie stuff from the noughties. Also endlessly catchy (in fairness, all of these songs are).

There is a small element of that in all songs by The Jam that I’m not a fan of but can get over if the vocals and the riffs are pleasing enough. TCM just…isn’t. I find it grating.

I appear, however, to have been outnumbered on this though so I’ll begrudgingly go completely against what I said earlier, -6 The Police and get going with the next round.

I'm (pleasantly) surprised that Men at Work survived.  With quite a weak field I still thought it would drop down quite quickly

That was a terrible round. I struggled to find five that I like a lot.

Kraftwerk, Bowie, Police, Paul Young, and maybe Culture Club (Do You Really Want To Hurt Me), although I like Eddy Grant too.

Not my favourite Jam or Duran songs.

Had a completely different experience, I liked like 12 of the songs, whilst i only liked Julio Iglesias, Bowie and Police from the first round.

Three of my initial five survived. Madness, Bonnie Tyler & Men At Work.

Adam Ant and Phil Collins failed to make the grade.

However I don't dislike the other remaining songs.

I have picked my five for the next round but there is quite a lot of good stuff but there are things that need to die quickly and not just the Invasion of the charity singles.
