I updated the link in my post anyway, even though there are obits everywhere now.
The Old Crem 3,608 Posted November 2 The Sun called her a much loved comedian. Is that the case? Particularly with their readers in Scotland?
Vinegar Tits 606 Posted November 2 RIP and sad for her family etc. Couldn't stand the unfunny attention-seeking gobshite personally, I found her about as funny as, well, you fill in the ironic ailment here. Too soon?

As a comedian she wasn’t really notable at all but did have some loyal followers north of the border. Otherwise she is only really known for her arguments and general unpleasantness…not exactly a national treasure.

Too soon? Semi-seriously? Not too soon for me personally. I've never really subscribed to the theory 'never speak ill of the dead', if you have criticisms of someone whilst they're alive why should this suddenly change the minute they kick the bucket? For their relatives and friends of course one bites ones tongue, quite rightly, no reason to give unnecessary offence. But that's mostly even true for people when they're alive anyway (though of course not always). "The Media" have to be careful because family and friends will probably be amongst those who read/see it. So to a degree from an outside perspective it always appears they are more likely to criticize the living than the dead. Of course exactly who they criticize whilst alive in the first place is open to debate .

Toast 16,155 Posted November 2 I have no opinion since I'd never heard of her before she was mentioned on the DL forum. I was never curious enough to check out her work.
