Interesting video for The Stonk, loads of charity case perennials, for example most of Rock Aid (Brian May, Roger taylor, Steve Iommi, Dave Gilmour), Paul Daniels?, Rowan Atkinson, the 4 from Not the Mary Whitehouse Experience,  and many others you've probably forgotten

This is technically a double A side with  The Smile Song by Victoria Wood - Not in the league of Let's Do It but probably a better track

Sad that it's gone, but It was obviously going to be eliminated, and even if I had never heard of Hale & Pace and this song before this game, I'm still happy that I got to listen to this cheesy song that features Mr Bean on drums and appearances from former DL Hits Bruce Forsyth and George H.W. Bush :D

In August 1991 my future sister in law got married

With her new surname her initials became KLF - oh how we laughed.....

No ! It is putting people off because it is not a 90s song and it has already been in this contest.

It is obscuring the sad but beautiful These Are The Days Of Our Lives, which was Freddie's moving farewell.

I think people bought the single or CD because if BR not TATDOOL so it should be listed here.

Bill Drummond was convinced that Justified and Ancient would be number one "until Freddie went and died".  And they did blatantly add BR for commercialisation. However, don't knock the impact of the Innuendo album. Perhaps fuelled by Freddie concern (it was an open secret he was very sick by 1991), but also by it being a great album, well received, it was one of their fastest selling albums since Greatest Hits a decade previously, and the singles out of it had done remarkably well for Queen in that time period. Even the contemporary music press, who hated Queen, mostly said it was a good album and good song. So yeah, TATDOOL would have topped the chart regardless of "thunderbolt and lightning" additions - public approval of that album's singles, and the post-death Freddie Mania (which continued for years - Freddie has a number one in 1993, despite being dead for 2 years) would have sealed the deal.

Also, as your grumpy Scot, I use the word "beautiful" about once a century. That is a beautiful song, almost a threnody on acceptance at the bitter end.

I can't stand Queen, but for what it's worth, I think These Are The Days of Our Lives is a much better song than Innuendo. For a start it isn't over 6 minutes long, and it actually has memorable, meaningful lyrics and a cohesive structure. It doesn't deserve to be dragged down by the cynical marketing move of shackling it to the tedious, bloated, overplayed wedding disco song.
