Okey doke. Here's the catchup.

Nature man Simon Cowell has headed off to the great wilderness, and running wild is a zoo of seven pickers. 25 points for hell, 20 for BuffaloPhil, Etushispushingupdaisies, and Funeralopolis, and 25 sub points for drol, Famous6Eva, and msc.

France has fended off fascism once more, for now, but it hadn't been as banner a month for their cultural icons. Within the span of a week, Francoise Hardy had yé-yéd out of here and Anouk Aimée delved into La dolce morte. Around the HPDP we had a hearty helping of French toast: Toast had them both as unique picks hereabouts, gaining 35 points a piece (25 base + 10 bonus).

A day before Aimée came the death of dance musician Dario G. The stage name of Paul Spencer, Dario G started off as the name of a musical trio before settling on a solo act, but at the HPDP turntable it was a duo with 30 points each for BuffaloPhil and wannamaker.

The death of fell runner Joss Naylor helps DevonDeathTrip climb the mountain of a scoreboard, with a boost of 20 points (20 base + 8 bonus).

gcreptile made sure to give union activist Jane McAlevey a seat at the table when organizing his team. He works up a total of 21 points (15 base + 6 bonus).

On with the new scoreboard, with the podium static.

Peter Marshall is among the stars (spirits in the sky or dirt, your choice)

Here's a New York Times obituary for him.

Aside from the bed block trio, I understand the most youthful survivor on my list today embarks on a trip to a South America country where its current Vice President Francia Márquez escaped an assassination attempt. I am mournful about my sixth hit but a seventh hit should I be so lucky could pull me out of my funk.

With Peter Marshall being a hit both my subs are now gone.. I like we get some points for our subs.  Better then oh crap I should have had them on my main list, and we get no benefit for them.

@Death Impends... Edna O'Brien and Ray Reardon are two notable names for your new scoreboard, too.

Next update.

Dr. Ruth Westheimer caps off a life of sex tips with further guidance to two teams. Converting her mid-age celebrity to Hollywood Squares spots, BabyBlue snipes out 99 points (45 base + 54 bonus) while livingbygrace lands her first sub for 25 points.

90210-er Shannen Doherty had been a long-time bedblocker but brain metastases saw a renewed interest. Six teams wanted to have fun, with 30 points going John Key's way, justonecornetto, The Old Crem, and Torva Messor 25, ladyfiona 15, and DeathBecomesThem 10.

Two teams were listening in on comedy legend Bob Newhart's final phone call, who unsurprisingly also featured on Hollywood Squares. livingbygrace is driving ... yes, she's driving ... up 48 points (30 base + 18 bonus), while Grimgrass, oh dear ... Grimgrass only gets ... 16 points (10 base + 6 bonus).

Snooker star Ray Reardon was, well, snookered, and theoldlady bit hard into Dracula for a juicy 56 points (40 base + 16 bonus).

The second person in this write up known for easing the stigma around sex conversation, author Edna O'Brien was acclaimed, especially in her native Ireland, for the groundbreaking The Country Girls. She now brings points to CalebH, worth 49 points (35 base + 14 bonus) in all.

Two Hollywood Squares alumni were mentioned above, now for the man who oversaw the tic-tac-toe board. Peter Marshall had hosted Hollywood Squares from 1966-81 and so unsurprisingly had long been a cult pick in the HPDP. Four circles got the square this go-around - Torva Messor gets 56 points (35 base + 21 bonus), Captain Hemlock and MariNisia 40 (25 base + 15 bonus), and livingbygrace fills out the subs board in one update for 50 points.

The latest scoreboard sees Torva Messor bolster her lead, putting her in a strong position with nearest competitor Perhaps lagging by about 100 points.

Peter Marshall was the ninth candidate of my list.

So, 10 points (original value) + 5 points (thanks to Robert Badinter who was my 7th candidate) + 5 points (thanks to Irene Camber who was my 3rd candidate) + 5 points (thanks to Thomas Patten Stafford who was my 2nd candidate) = 25 points.

Then... 25 base + 15 bonus... or am I wrong, @Death Impends?

You were correct. I mistakenly never adjusted the points value of your survivors after Stafford. That has been fixed and the scoreboard above is updated.
