arrowsmith 448 Posted July 13 I really didn’t realize how much I would feel his death. I never had any particular attachment to him but he was a fixture of television in my youth. He always struck me as a decent person and it takes a certain kind of bravery to deliberately be the object of ridicule for the joy of others. RIP.
Ulitzer95 12,656 Posted July 13 Guy gave me the absolute creeps. Never understood the love in for him. Felt the same way about Savile when he was alive (before we knew what he was truly like). I'm not saying Simmons was hiding anything FTR, just that he made my skin crawl for some reason.
ChrisM31 19 Posted July 16 I know these three seem to be in good health, but I don't want them forgotten: William Shatner (93 / actor, Star TreK - Kirk) Walter Koenig (87 / actor, Star Trek - Chekov) George Takei (87 - actor, Star Trek - Sulu) And can't forget these guys either: Dan Rather (92 / journalist) Tom Brokaw (84 / journalist)

The Daredevil 1,189 Posted July 21 Some essential newbies for the 2025 DL... if they make it Alain Delon: Wheelchair bound, verging towards ninety in 2025, suffering from lymphoma, recovering from a severe stroke from five years ago, his family is breaking apart and he is in the middle of the Delon family fight. James Earl Jones: Will be 94 in January, has been close to 300 pounds for most of his life, has been out of the spotlight as of late, has had a history of diabetes going back to the 1990s. June Spencer: Um, she'll be 106 next June. Eva Marie Saint: Um, she'll be 101 next July. Teri Garr: Will be 80 this December, has suffered from multiple sclerosis for decades, has been too quiet.
Steve 608 Posted July 21 Some suggestions from me: Kenneth Cope (battled COPD for years), Jean Marsh (stroke and minor heart attack in 2011), Richard Wilson (severe heart attack in 2016), Ruth Buzzi (bedridden after suffering a series of strokes), Cindy Birdsong (suffering debilitating strokes in 2023).

Is that why they let Donald Von Shitzenpants get a bit of glass in his ear the other day? They were too busy reading through the Political Discussions thread thinking "fuck sake, that Crem talks a load of hysterical shite doesn't he?" to notice a cunt with a gun.

This site is very entertaining and certainly distracts me from doing my job from time to time.

Commtech Sio Bibble 2,058 Posted July 22 Jack Karlson, the man behind the famous 'Democracy Manifest' video, is still alive at the age of 82. He doesn't look that great as of late, is an ex-smoker, and seemed to fall asleep in a recent interview. He will 100% receive numerous write ups when he dies, from the likes of The Sun/Daily Mail. Although not deathlist worthy, maybe someone to consider for deadpools and personal lists.
Lafaucheuse 4,051 Posted July 24 we don't usually get a lot of male singers on the list, however there is still a lot out there who could well be considered for the official list, three of them comes out of my mind immediately and ring the "too big to miss" bell - Frankie Valli (b. 1934) : 90 this year and still touring I think but… - Paolo Conte (b. 1937) : frail for years, former smoker, I can't see him reaching more than 90 - Smokey Robinson (b. 1940) : maybe not for now but to keep an eye on

Valli, Smokey, Mathis, Boone and bloody Englebert all DLy. If they don't make it it'lll be because they die before, not because they'd never get picked. Paolo Conte more niche in the UK, I know him due to the Austin Powers soundtrack back in the day (!) though. Also, I've assumed for years Drol actually hates him, as a famous old Italian he never mentions.
