Who Should Be On The Deathlist 2025?

Recommended Posts

David Attenborough should be brought back. As new names…Hitchcock film actress Eva Marie Saint should be added. Some others new names like architect Frank Gehry should be added and foreign people like King Harald 5 of Norway or President Paul Biya of Cameroon.

1. Joan Plowright-95 year old A Lister.Has been housebound a while now,should be a bedblocker going forward

2.Isabel Peron-Looks pretty frail based on a photo from earlier in the year

3.Mike Ditka -Now 86,and recently there are rumors he is in hospice care. Survived a stroke and heart attack in recent years. Potential multi decade long boomerang hit

4-Jose Mujica-Hospitalized a few times in 2024 and has Esophagel Cancer. Also on the hefty side and turning 90

'

And someone who would be the most purrfect new edition to the list

5. Lee Meriwether

Elsie Kelly of Benidorm saw a photo of her with Chrissy Rock the other day and she looks terrible, be amazed if she sees 2026.

If Attenborough is not on the list it will be the biggest WTF why not ever

Sir John Williams, especially since he started cancelling his performances in recent months due to his health, and I wholeheartedly second the returns of Yoko Ono, Douglas Hurd, and David Attenborough.

Others I wouldn't object to seeing on the list next year:

Yuri Oganessian - Famous enough, but not necessarily one I expect to ever grace the DL with his presence.

Donald P. Bellisario - If Norman Lear can make it, the creator of Magnum, PI and Quantum Leap can too.

Trisha Goddard - Easily meets the fame requirements, and has terminal cancer. She may be one to revisit this time next year, but you never know.

Alan Oppenheimer - Still attending events, but is clearly declining, in a wheelchair now, and 95 next April.

To name a few

Mahathir Mohamad - 99 with enormous heart problems

Sidney Cooke - Extremely old, hit to celebrate

Rupert Murdoch - turning 94, large health history, cunt

Ruth Buzzi - Enormous health history, dementia

Tom Lehrer - Seems frail, forum favourite

Geoffrey Boycott - Cancer, heart problems

David Irving - Was dying at some point of this year.

On that theme, I think Stuart Hall would also be worth a punt.

Frankie Valli is one I"m not quite sure about. Yes he's frail, and lip syncs at his shows so much. However, based on what he says in interviews, he seems to still love touring and putting on a great show for his fans. I honestly think he could go downhill once his touring ends, as this is what helps him maintain a good quality of life.

I'd put Jack Hanna on this list as well. Guy is an American treasure but has been "rapidly going downhill" with dementia for a few years now. I watched a video from last year and while his family is doing a great job being caregivers, he definitely has aged and I'm seeing signs of dementia that I knew with loved ones having it, and these were in the last few years.

Mike Ditka's family says he is not in hospice, but with no appearances and interviews over the last few years, I can't help but wonder if his health is failing and getting near the end.

I know that they would never bet on supercentenarians due to the rules, but I wonder if they would be able to bet at least on Marita Camacho Quiros for the list? She is notable enough and will turn 114 in March.

Valli looks like death warmed up and is no not fit state to appear on stage. He isn't even performing anymore by any sense of the word.

Hanna is a good shout.

If this were 2007 then maybe. Otherwise, no.

Mitch McConnell looks awful.  James Hong is a good one.

I think James Hong could get picked if he threatens 100, but he must be one of the healthiest 95-year-olds we've seen.

A reminder of why many of us are saying Frankie Valli. He makes Joe Biden and Mitch McConnell look cogent and sprightly.Definitely giving Weekend at Bernie's Vibes.
