Chi-Town blues legend Otis Clay has died of a heart attack at the age of 73.

Dude, nowhere does it say the word 'legend'. Never heard of this cat. Don't embellish the dead. Do you consider this a write-up of a 'legend'? Five sentences?

Fine.

Some random guy from Chicago threw in the towel. He also sang and shit.

Oh, Christ. Tons of people have signatures as long as mine. Anyways, I shortened it a little.

Legendary Chicago blues pianist Barrelhouse Chuck, 58, is in the final stages of cancer. He's performed and recorded with Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Bo Didley, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, etc etc. <_<

There goes a risk I was planning to take. Let's see if he gets a QO and if that risk would've been successful if it had lasted that long

Charles Bradley makes comeback after cancer treatment:

http://liveforlivemusic.com/news/charles-bradley-returns/

As I said, coincidentally I knew his treatment was going well. And I KNEW, Spade and DI would pick him.

In hindsight, I should have gone with an extremely conventional DDP main team that would have included Hewlett, and Skellern (whose cancer I even mentioned first on the forum!). I would have had a clear one pick advantage.... Ah well...

(Edit: I know that Bradley is more soul than blues, but I think there's no real soul music thread...)

Denise La Salle just had her leg amputated after a health crisis:

http://www.jacksonsun.com/story/news/2017/10/16/denise-lasalle-hospital-recovering-leg-amputation/768628001/

But she's still "trapped by a thing called love". She also had a UK Top Ten hit with "My Toot Toot".

Unsurprisingly, Daily Mail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-5252433/R-B-singer-songwriter-Denise-LaSalle-dies-Tennessee.html

Edit: One less name to include in the "Hits of 1985" list I'm now preparing...

Haha - all this post makes me think is 'where the fuck does Spade do his research?'
