The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Recommended Posts

Tim Curry might be one for next year's list after suffering a major stroke. The Daily Fail reports he is "doing great" but that could mean anything.

Good spot he is going to be up there for consideration next year.

Pity because I really like him as an actor but for Deathlisting great work.

Lindsay Ingram was born in 1948 and Stephen Calcutt in 1951 but I don't know the months but they are unlikely to get obituaries, I think of the Transylvanians only Biggins and Woolf would get obits and maybe Leventon. Clare "Great Gig in the Sky" Torry was a backing singer on the album and I heard it somewhere on the grapevine she has brain cancer.

Brian Thomson should probably be added to the list, he was the set designer and responsible for the look of the film.

I think there will be a lot of "Whatever happened to ...?" in the Shock Treatment list.

I didnt even know he had suffered a stroke.

It was purely down to him in Rocky Horror that I once wore the full basque and attire for a bonking session with a lady, he sort of made it quite, ya know, normal......

Bloody loved Tim!!!

Cool, I've updated the list, although I'm struggling to find Brian Thomson's credit on RHPS. I know he was definitely production designer on Shock Treatment and the original stage Rocky Horror, so I'll commence a Shock Treatment list (there will be some overlap!!) a wee bit later and include Brian there. Thanks, Handrejka!

I must admit I do like a man in fishnets and suspenders and it's probably down to seeing a picture of Tim in my formative, not quite sure which way I swing, years. I've never met a man who can carry the look off as well as Mr Curry though.

He's one of the few people I could never put in a dead pool.

Edit - In answer to YoungWilz, Thomson had a massive falling out with O'Brien so I think the lack of credit may be related to that.

Christ , I've seen it 72 times (that I counted) and had no recollection of Rik Mayall being in't. Granted we didn't get The Young Ones over in the States til I was probably 20 (1983) and by then I quit seeing Rocky Horror.

Just watching it now as it was 40 years yesterday since the film was first shown in the UK, so I've probably cursed poor Tim by doing so. I've never noticed before how much taxidermy there is in it. It's a few years since I've seen it and I can still quote most of it.

Brian Thompson does get a design credit btw.

How the hell did I miss this post? I don't believe this for one minute. There is no way you've ever bonked a lady.

Well it said on the packaging that it was a lady and, when I blew it up, it did have tits, a soft open mouth and a welcoming vagina.

...not literally of course!

There are a few around these parts who have seen a picture of me in my more 'youthful' years.

I looked fuggin girly enough to have carried it off.

Now, as is probably obvious, Id look like Ross Kemp in a Tutu.

Deeply wrong and unpleasant!

LFN please be careful about your use of language I now have the imagined image of Ross Kemp in a tutu burning into my inner brain.

What a horrible thing to do.

Once you enter the cemetery you can find his gravestone rather easily: It's just a jump to the left.....and a step to the ri-i-i-i-ight.

According to imdb Anthony Milner died in July 2015. I can't find any confirmation anywhere else though.

I also can't seem to post the link to imdb. Edited to add link above, though the wording seems rather bizarre.

That's 9 of the Trannies dead. 10 still alive.... the oldest of whom, Henry Woolf, will be 87 in January. And he'll undoubtedly obit.
