Death Impends 7,957 Posted April 18, 2009 I think this should be it's own thread. However I do have one more... Carla Laemmle (born 1909) is believed to be the only surviving Dracula (1931) cast member. There are a few entries that don't have birth or death dates so I'm not too sure on those.
Canadian Paul 97 Posted April 18, 2009 **Freaks (1932)... no surviving cast members Josephine Joseph, who was the hermaphrodite, could still be alive... but it's unknown for sure.
Ulitzer95 12,577 Posted April 18, 2009 **It's A Wonderful Life (1946)... 9 surviving cast members - Virginia Patton (born 19??) 1923, I believe, and still alive. Thanks, I'll add that I think this should be it's own thread. However I do have one more... Carla Laemmle (born 1909) is believed to be the only surviving Dracula (1931) cast member. There are a few entries that don't have birth or death dates so I'm not too sure on those. Checked Dracula, I think it's safe to presume she is the last surviving cast member as most of the other actors were older in the film and there are only three or so actors (in uncredited roles) that have no birth/death records... **Freaks (1932)... no surviving cast members Josephine Joseph, who was the hermaphrodite, could still be alive... but it's unknown for sure. I did consider Josephine Joseph but I concluded that since she seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth and had a disfigurement... she's most likely dead but I'll put a question mark next to her name... Maybe a new thread is needed here... any ideas what to title it?
Handrejka 1,903 Posted April 18, 2009 Cinematographer Gilbert Taylor was looking quite wizened when I saw him on Paul Merton's programme about Alfred Hitchcock, but then he was born in 1914. Might be one to keep an eye on. Quite a few elderly cinematographers worth keeping an ey on. There's Jack Cardiff who has been mentioned a few times on here, Oswald Morris (born 1915) and Wolfgang Suschitsky (born 1912) and probably more.

Ulitzer95 12,577 Posted March 20, 2010 Updated the list of survivors from top grossing Hollywood classics on page 3. I removed Karl Malden, Jimmy Carroll and Frank Coghlan, Jr. Additionally, I've removed another. One of the few survivors of Citizen Cane, Peter Gowland (also a glamour photographer), has died aged 93 per his website.
DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted May 12, 2010 Actress Ruth Ford has died aged 98. She was the widow of Zachary Scott who died in 1965. When his mother, Sally Lee Scott, died in November 1983, she left everything to be divided by her 3 children. Scott's two daughters split their late father's share, and Ruth tried to sue for a share of it for herself, but didn't have enough money for a lawyer. Ruth Ford cut her entire family from her will by leaving £5.6 million pounds to her butler instead. Hell hath no fury like a woman (or man) who has been financially scorned!
