She also won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her performance in I'll Fly Away.

She acted also in the 1992 film Malcolm X, which starred Denzel washington

I knew her best from the sitcom, A Different World.

An extraordinary actress with a talent in comedy and a talented voice, Ursula and Morgana, two characters who were voiced by this legend. RIP  :(

New York Times obit for George Bartenieff (wiki), aged 89, a German-born American actor probably more notable for his Broadway work, but posting here because people may recognise him from Hercules in New York (1970), See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989), or his numerous TV roles.

Didn't have Anne Heche down as a possible. Gravely ill after car crash. :o

Sounds like we'll know the prognosis on this one by time everyone wakes up.

Several tweets reporting the death of Clu Gulager at 93. No obituaries out that I can see, but looks true.

Anne Heche in "extremely critical" condition. In a coma and hasn't regained consciousness since the accident.

"Fifty-nine firefighters battled the blaze, which had engulfed both Heche’s car and the house she crashed into, for 65 minutes until she could be safely pulled out of the wreckage."

Fucking hell
