Richard Belzer finally gets a THR obit. Intriguing confirmation here.

Quote

Belzer died early Sunday at his home in Bozouls in southwest France, a longtime friend of the actor who does not wish to be identified told The Hollywood Reporter. “He had lots of health issues, and his last words were, ‘Fuck you, motherfucker,'” his friend said.

He's got his own show now, which is pretty good...

I know, I’ve started to watch it. It is good yes, but not as good as SVU

They report on British celebrity deaths too!

Also, the trades have confirmed it now.

It’s been deleted?

Been reposted here.

And what would you know? A QO from The Guardian. (OK, technically it's a reprint of an AP orbit, but it still counts, I think.)

Richard Gere is getting better. He caught pneumonia in Mexico while on a family visit. Seems the worst is behind him, according to his wife.

Was expected from first reports, but nice to see.

I started to type up a response to this using the words "gerbil" and "behind him", but I deleted it because it was in really poor taste and I am striving to become a better person.

Mark Margolis had a fall and an emergency brain surgery in 2017. Banks seems to be in amazing health but looks ancient.

Better Call Saul apparently has a much larger cast than Breaking Bad (700+ people). From them Grant James died last month. including:

Juan Carlos Cantu (imdb) Manuel Varga

Jean Effron (imdb) Irene Landry. Not sure how old she is, but looked ancient at the end of the series.

Carol Herman (imdb) Geraldine Strauss. Again not sure how old she is, but plays one of the only characters in the franchise who die of old age.

Barry Corbin - more known from other stuff, but he's one of those who looked pretty ancient in the show. Also mentioned in this thread a few pages back that he has oral cancer.

Kevin Sussman - more known from other stuff, but, he plays a guy with pancreatic cancer. Sometimes those types are actually ill too.

Phyllis Applegate (imdb) Myrtle. 78, looks ancient

Robert Grossman (imdb) Fudge, war hero/public masturbator

James Cady (imdb) Judge Kurt N. Forshager

Carolyn Wickwire (imdb) Plays Alma May Urbano, one of the old people early in the show. Now 86

Ted Raymond (imdb) Mr. Tiller. 91.

Alaina Warren Zachary (imdb) Mrs. VanKamp, 76

Forrest Fyre (imdb) Judge

Jose Jacinto Marquez (imdb) Mr. Witchell

Christopher Hagen (imdb) Big Paul

Charles Mate (imdb) Multiple minor roles

Phyllis Applegate (IMDb), American actress best known for playing Sadie the neighbor from 2000 comedy film Big Momma's House dead at 92

She also appeared in numerous TV Shows especially in drama, comedy and crime like ER, Better Call Saul, Glee, Highway to Heaven, Wings and L.A. Law.

On the day the Governor took over Disneyland, it’s fitting.

A friend of my mentor, who was also a Disney Legend. I don't think there's a single CM in the parks with 60 years still actively working, let alone anywhere else in the company... His record is probably going to stand for decades.

Who was your mentor, if we may ask?

Ron Logan - former exec VP for Disney - he ran their live entertainment at various levels for 30 years, including 20+ at the corporate level - oversaw all of the big theme park shows you know like Fantasmic, Illuminations, tonnes of parades and fireworks shows, created Disney Theatrical and put Beauty and the Beast on Broadway (among many others). He was in the same Disney Legends class as Randy Newman, and (as he told me although I've not found the tape), gave a speech at Robin Williams' induction ceremony. Got a lot of stories from him, and he taught me almost everything I know about entertainment, especially at theme parks (I studied theme park management in undergrad, and sort of in grad school).
