Ulitzer95 12,654 Posted February 5, 2021 RIP. Has anyone checked on CoffinLodger? He'll be weeping uncontrollably whilst watching the Sound of Music and tucking into a big tub of Ben and Jerry's no doubt.

ThePrematureBurial 224 Posted February 5, 2021 Anthony Jeselnik on Twitter: "First time anyone wanted to replace Christopher Plummer with Kevin Spacey." / Twitter Leachman, Tyson, Holbrook & now Plummer. This year will be a rerun of 1982, when lots of famous actors - Romy Schneider, Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman etc. - died.

MrWonderful 481 Posted February 5, 2021 Dammit. Just a brilliantly talented performer, and this is a big loss. May he rest in peace.
RoverAndOut 4,746 Posted February 5, 2021 Sad one this, and a surprise. Was excellent in Knives Out and very good as Getty in All the Money in the World too. More familiar with his recent work than much of his older work, but obviously a legend of so many great movies. Has been very active and visible in recent years, so clearly quite a sudden demise, but seemingly peaceful and not Covid-related. Rest in Peace, sir.

Toast 16,146 Posted February 5, 2021 Just now, drol said: He died after falling and hitting his head according to NYT. Not so peaceful. Ah, that explains it. I never picked him for anything because all the indications were that he was in robust good health.
RolandDeschain 91 Posted February 5, 2021 RIP to an acting legend. It always surprises me when famous people die who were busy, appeared healthy into their 90s, and stayed relevant right up to the point they, err, do die. Kind of like Christopher Lee. I thought Chris Plummer would have been one of those going in his late 90s. Apart from Julie Andrews was he the last surviving adult cast member of The Sound Of Music? I know he did outlive 2 of the Van Trapp child actors.

CoffinLodger 1,248 Posted February 5, 2021 Bit of a shocker. I will never forget watching Sound of Music with Julie Andrews Christopher Plummer and Yul Bryner as a small boy.Now Julie is the last survivor from that film (apart from the kid actors) .Hopefully she will go on forever. edit- https://www.theguardian.com/film/2019/feb/07/julie-adams-obituary I don't need shocks like this !
