Also happy to announce Robert Young is joining the list of dorks! That's overdue!

Makes me wonder about Santa Cruz’s real condition too after his new statement…

Japanese supercentenarian oldest ever in her prefecture, died on 4 January 2022.....

No it was not Kane. It was Yoshi Baba, the oldest person ever in Yamanashi Prefecture. She died at 114 years and 215 days.

Lawrence Brooks was still well enough to speak with Biden on the phone a week ago.

Now he’s not well enough to speak to anyone.

Oh fuck.

However, unsuprising considering how ill he was in October/November. I was suprised he even got past november 2021!

Noticed that the oldest man in Germany, Hans Schornack, was born on a leap day. Currently the oldest living person to have been born on a leap day and the third-oldest ever, he'll celebrate 110 years since his birth (can you call it a birthday?) on the 1st of March if he makes it that far. If he makes it to the 12th of September he'll become the oldest person born on a leap day.

Who's the oldest living WWII veteran now?

Beside that the oldest man in the US is now Ezra Hill, who seems to be in fair health. Two men older than him, Lawrence Brooks and Melvin Campbel died in the last week. All three were Afroamerican. Strangely beside Hill all men in the top 10 are now white.

Modesto Lopez Bautista claims to be older, but likely a fraud.

Not so strange when you know that Afro-American people have 4 years less of life expectancy than white citizen which, at this age, is quite considerable !

I think percentage of black supercentenarians is higher than percentage in the whole population. A definitive exaplanation has not been found (it was discussed on the 110 club various times).

BLM was very 2021. It’s 2022 now so they’re all having their life support machines turned off.

No, think there will be 1-2 death in the top 10 before her (likely Santa Cruz and Juniewicz) and Saturnino de la Fuente will die before her too.

Actually I don't think that there are many people in the top 10 who look better than Juniewicz, except Branyas Morera.

Don't forget Fusa fucking Tatsumi!

Juan Vicente Perez Mora could have some potential in my opinion, he's looked the same since age 100 and reminds me of Lucile Randon a bit. Health hasn't declined much during his centenarian/supercentenarian years, can still talk. Potentially the next man to make it to 113 (if SdlF dies during the next 1 month 5 days) but of course he could die tomorrow, who the hell knows about these 110+ folks. Hoping he makes it to 113, seems like a great guy

Anonymous of Hyogo became oldest person ever to enter the Top 10 Oldest Living People at 114 years and 250 days.

Previous record was that of Fusa Tatsumi (114 years and 163 days).

She looks very tired, expecially considering how lively she was just some months ago. Still if Nguyen Con can survive, so can she.

She was not very lively some months ago. I think that it's expected to look tired after a hospitalisation at 119.
