Robert Young said today that "the 1907 cohort still appears to be 'above statistical expectation' and saturated with several frail persons", two of him he describes "very frail", says that the January collapse is probably not over.

1903, 1904 & 1906 are down to one survivor, 1907 has around 12:

1- Maria Branyas Morera, 2- Casilda Benegas, 3- Wang Zhanwen, 4- Fusa Tatsumi, 5- Anonymous of Hyogo, 6- Francisca Joana da Conceicao, 7- Sofia Rojas, 8- Xu Senzhen, 9- Bessie Hendricks, 10- Mila Mangold, 11- Irene Dunham, 12- Maria Ana da Silva.

The other one is probably Fusa Tatsumi, bedbound and probably unresponsive. The other one? Excluding the unvalidated ones and Anonymous of Hyogo (Young mentioned that not that "very frail" one) I wonder which one it is. Benegas? Mangold?

Young also mentions something about the recently deceased ones:

Yoshi Baba and Valentine Ligny were "unexpected" deaths. If a death can be "unexpected" at 114/115.

Thelma Sutcliffe had been in declining health but her family kept it a secret.

Cecile Klein was "very frail", Antonia da Santa Cruz had been in declining health for a month.

Yoshi Otsunari had been very frail for ages.

I don't think that the other very frail of 1907 (except Fusa Tatsumi and anonymous) is Casilda Benegas. She was very recently reported as "in very good state"and "still healthy".

Updated (9.8.2021) list of the eight remaining subjects of Edward VII (1841-1910, ruled 1901-1910)

Cecile Klein (June 15, 1907 - January 13, 2022) Canada
Mollie Walker (February 5, 1909 - January 22, 2022) United Kingdom

-. Koko Hume Lepota (March 16, 1909 - in limbo since 2019) South Africa
-. Eslin Mulgrave-Collins (April 2, 1909 - in limbo since 2020) Jamaica
1. Ethel Caterham (August 21, 1909 - present) United Kingdom
2. Rose Eaton (August 23, 1909 - present) United Kingdom
3. Rosalie Wolpe (August 25, 1909 - present) South Africa
4. Yvonne Delorme-Martel (October 21, 1909 - present) Canada

Last subject of Queen Victoria (1819-1901, ruled 1837-1901) was Violet Brown (1900-2017)

Updated. Likely only four subjects of Edward VII remain.

It’s odd that the death of the category of people who were usually a certain Obit has suddenly become a risky pick.

Juan Vicente Perez Mora could have some potential in my opinion, he's looked the same since age 100 and reminds me of Lucile Randon a bit. Health hasn't declined much during his centenarian/supercentenarian years, can still talk. Potentially the next man to make it to 113 (if SdlF dies during the next 1 month 5 days) but of course he could die tomorrow, who the hell knows about these 110+ folks. Hoping he makes it to 113, seems like a great guy

Instagram account of Juan Vicente Perez Mora, likely managed by his family. Wheelchairbound and looks very frail in many pictures but still able to feed himself, drink, lift his arms up and answer questions, seems to enjoy life.

Can't say much due to confidentiality but I've contacted friends in the media and they're away to do a big story on this.

That sounds a lot more dramatic than I think it is.

I don't think Canada even did a story on Cecile - they are too obsessed with COVID.

UK's third oldest person, Marjorie Kinnedead at 111.

The country has just 6 supercentenarians now. I can't recall a time when there were so few.

Just one person left born in 1910 now (2 from 1909, 3 from 1911, 9 from 1912).

Japanese supercentenarian dead

Not Kane Tanaka. Nahi Yonamine died on 7 February 2022 at the age of 113 years, 335 days.

That wouldn’t cause a decline in the numbers.
