The greatest Bond ever and of that there can be no shadow of doubt.

I'd go so far as to say "James Bonds are dying in the wrong order".

Connery was marginally better in my opinion but Moore was great.

I always preferred Roger Moore's Bond films overall over Connery but its close.  The Spy Who Loved Me is probably my favourite Bond film of all.

RIP to a great actor and also a very decent person (he was involved in many charities e.g. - spoke out against foie gras and the cruelty inflicted to make it.

I did say once that I thought both Roger and Sean would die within a year of each other but I didn't really think Roger would go first.

I loved his films they were campy and over the top but enjoyable. Can't believe he died younger than Clifton James.

He was one of my favourite Bonds, loved The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker was great cheesy fun.

A shame. Juvenile me liked him more than Connery. I' m still not sure who was better. They were just different.

He was in good shape until very recently. The cancer must have struck quickly.

The death notice by his relatives mentioned a "short" but "brave" battle with cancer. Although it was not his first one (he had been treated for skin cancer before). I think a former smoker dying at 89 of cancer is not terribly surprising.

Does he count as a DL miss?
