  1. I thought Bush might last a couple more years but after seeing the pic of him with his son in hospital I am n ow convinced he will die this year. That is one very frail old man !

There isn't really much chance of that though is there?

That said if he does it brings us back to six living Prime Ministers with a high chance of reaching 7.

I'm just lightly teasing our resident Norman Tebbit fan, but, if Theresa May does actually fail to win this election, I might actually die laughing...

I think she'll win but it could be a lot closer than people expect.

The bookies already take May's win for granted and with the advantage that she has right now and taking Corbyn's unpopularity into account, a really huge scandal would be needed to prevent it.

Does anyone happen to have pix of May in the company of rentboys, smoking pot or something?

No but a load of Tory MPs are scheduled to be arrested a few days before the election.

What happens if Bush dies during election results being announced. Will one be covered on BBC News and one on BBC One or will election coverage be interspersed between the tributes?

Not a death, but the news of Krushchev being overthrown in the USSR broke during the 1964 general election night coverage. Iirc they have updates and discussions on it, and what it will mean to the "next government".

George and Barbara Bush had lunch with Arnold Schwarzenegger today.

Doesn't look too bad. I think he'll see 93.

Agreed. Barbara looks MUCH worse. Should definitely be on the list next year and have her own thread.

Bush Sr still looks a bit frail imo. I think he will see his 93rd birthday, but I don't know how long after that he'll last. I'll estimate his death will come in 3-4 months or so, but I could be wrong.

Barbara Bush and Rosalynn Carter should definitely be on next year's list, they will be 93 and 91 respectively next year.

Can't miss out on first ladies dying!

George looks a bit better to me, but I still doubt he sees the end of the year.

Barbara looks a lot worse then when I last saw her, I was a bit taken aback by how she looked.

I'm predicting a back-to-back George and Barbara death though.

I agree 100% with Barbara but I feel the Carters are almost immortal at this stage.

I agree with Barbara, she looks almost worse than George at this point. But, Rosalynn should be skipped until 2019 or 2020. Rosalynn is likely to pass Bess Truman and become the oldest First Lady ever.

Maybe Rosalynn, but Barbara's health is nearly as bad as her husbands, she should really have her own thread.

Barbara has has heart surgery, grave's disease, and has been hospitalized twice for pneumonia and bronchitis in the past 2 years.

The Bushes are back in Maine for the summer.

I wonder if he'll die in Kennebunkport of Houston...

I would say Kennebunkport since both he and Babs are Easterners at heart, Babs being a publisering heiress and all. (Their son W. is more of a Westerner at heart.)
