Thanks for the unexpected PM Dr Zorders, I don't get the name so must be as thick as shit as your message implied.

Er, no-one got it....... lol. I think I was trying to cram too much pun/gag into one name or something, I dunno. Or a bit obscure I guess.

In the context of Michael Barrymore a dead pool is a rather unfortunate expression, now I come to think of it.

Barrymore now successful in suing the police: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-40972546

Police still saying there are "unanswered" questions re the death, mind

And whilst we're reheating the old recipes -

Q - Why doesn't Michael Barrymore have an ashtray?

A - The used fags just go in his pool.

Could the BBC have found a more "looks like shit" photo to use?

The story that just won't go away: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-48525548

Headlined "Michael Barrymore apologises over Stuart Lubbock pool death".

But he doesn't.

He insists that he is innocent, so why would he apologise?

"I had nothing to do with Stuart. I am innocent. I am not 99.9% innocent. I am 100% innocent and I am entitled to walk around with my head held high for the rest of my life."

He says "I'm sorry. I couldn't be more sorry" but it's not an apology, it's condolence.

The BBC standards continue to head downhill with this tabloid-style misreporting.

So this Barrymore/Morgan interview. As I don't really watch him that much, feck, Piers Morgan is a shit interviewer. Barrymore is aged and slurred but better than I'd thought, but clearly a (recovering?) addict with some form of bi-polar.  I dunno, ever get that "wont be here in 5 years" feeling without any info to hand? Well, that.

Possible major trouble ahead for Michael Barrymore as new probe into the death of Stuart Lubbock begins with the detective leading the probe believing rape and murder took place that night.

Unless they still have DNA from his body, how are they really going to get a conviction?

It's all very detail lite at the moment but apparently a documentary on channel 4 to be shown soon is going to reveal new information or evidence.

Speculatively it could be a new witness coming forward or an old one changing their story?

I suspect that is what is needed for the Police to investigate after all this time.

I don't actually think Barrymore was involved, however, at that time, he was very much off the rails and mixed with people that may not have been too nice...…...

Yes I think that is right and going on both what I recall being reported subsequently and what I have been told/heard from  the gay scene is that he mixed in with and attracted some of the more psychopathic and criminally involved male prostitutes (they were called that then now they all call themselves escorts) and rent boys. He liked rough , scally or bad lads shall we say and they liked his money ,VIP access and stepping stone opportunities they envisaged with him.I cannot say he has been blackmailed but he definitely behaved in a way that made him an easy target for it.This was in the days before cameras on phones so that gives you an indication of just HOW careless he was being.

He wasn't just targeted though. It wasn't that cut and dry, he often sought such people out or 'friendly' bouncers helpfully sought out the male totty for him if I can put it like that.

Can someone just give him a new TV show on some obscure Sky channel so he can sod off and stop this lying crap being published every month. "Michael Barrymore explains pool death 'wall of silence'".  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-51725500

How many young men have got pissed up to the eyeballs on a night out, disappeared, and ended up being found floating in a river somewhere?

A fucking shit ton.

For some reason, people get wankered and cannot keep away from water.

Do we really know that this young fella didn't do what reams of people have done before him and since?

Unless the Police have overwhelming evidence that that young mans arse had been roughly used as some sort of Penis car park, I am not seeing enough evidence that he was murdered.

Agree with first bit - it happens a lot. But the 2002 inquest (article extract below) does suggest rape causing serious internal injuries (not specified) so sounds like his arse could have been used as a lorry park.

A 2002 inquest heard how Stuart would have been in "excruciating pain" from injuries his father Terry described as "horrific".

At the hearing, the pathologist suggested Stuart may have been forcibly restrained while the alleged assault took place.

Professor Jack Crane said: "We have the death of a young man which, in my view, is not clear-cut.

"The injuries this young man suffered were very severe and I do not believe they were the result of a consensual sexual act - that is why, in my report, I have said they were the result of a serious sexual assault.

"I do not rule out the possibility of asphyxiation or cardiac arrest occurring during some sort of non-consensual sexual act. Why would a fit, healthy young man drown in a swimming pool? There must be other factors involved."

I think, all in, there were three different pathologists who examined him and there was some differing views on whether he was dead before he hit the water or not.

I think there are enough ruined arseholes out there from 'consensual fisting' to fill the main stand at Carlisle Utd ( sorry Mary...:D ) so, unless there is proof, beyond reasonable doubt, that he was buggered with the pool thermometer and the odd door handle, without his say so....

Lets not forget that he was three times the drink drive limit and coked up to the eyeballs, he probably wouldn't have felt too much.

We have approached this under the assumption that Lubbock was an out and out hetrosexual. I call that bollocks.

He was, at the very least, bisexual.

Did he REALLY not have a bloody clue what kind of party he was getting invited to by Barrymore????

We shall never really know.

I don't think Barrymore helped himself by seeming to flee the country in the immediate aftermath

It was about this time a year ago when that new Barrymore doc came out to renewed scandal and pitchforks ready.....but the attention lasted about twelve hours as almost immediately after Schofield came out as gay, Caroline Flack passed away and Wuhan started playing up.

Bet he couldn't believe his luck.
