Yeah, he`s 73 - which I know is comparatively young by the standards of this site - but to be honest, don`t we all want him to die an excruciating death, i.e. being eaten alive by ants over a period of a week while chained to a tree and having his eyes gouged out ??

Or is this just wishful thinking ??

cheers,

the authority.

On a more realistic note...

He seems healthy enough. I would imagine that the biggest threat to man would be during one of his surprise visits to Iraq. However the possibility of him being killed in such surcumstances is fairly low even then. (Unless he gets shot down by friendly fire that is).

I dont even know who he is

is he american or something? or am i just ignorant?

The current ever so sexy Secretary of Defense under the current President George Bush. He was once a wrestler and a few summers back broke his thumb while having an arguement with Dennis Hastert.

He is also a sometimes, grade B poet.

As the  US defence secretary during  9/11 and the Iraq War  he certainly  is a significant  big name to pass away but alas one I seemed to have dropped from all my teams and shadowlists this year!

I didn't realise Rumsfeld was that old. Mind you, that makes him 70 at the start of the Iraq war, which seems about right. More like the last 20 years have gone in the blink of an eye.

Obviously sad news for his family, but outside of them I'm not sure he'll be mourned.

Exactly 15 years and 11 months of silence in this thread. Not the republican death we were expecting.

Genuinely thought he'd be a DL bedblocker one day. Oh well, saves that spot for someone we all love instead!
