In answer to the question of will she make it to the weekend?

The answer is no according to the BBC. I just heard her death announcement on the 8am radio news.

She's Gone

There are not many politicians I admire - but she was one of the few.

Very sad news. She was a nice lady & a good politician.

I think we need someone horrible to die next to balance things out after Mo & Robin.

Topic title now changed to reflect her death - and until anyone comes up with anything better, I have purloined Anubis' succinct message of her passing.

The yahoo! search engine is just brilliant. Not only does deathlist.net not appear in the first 40 results, but none of the links mentions her untimely demise. Indeed no. 33 is "Mo Mowlam - Live on Stage."

Shome mishtake surely?

As I predicted before I went on holiday... Major political stiff. There's still nearly a week to go as well before I return home
