The residents of Brinsworth House got a visited from a former actress who now inhabits a decrepit institution.

 

Its the Duchess of Sussex.

 

Unfortunately no residents are visible in the photos.

This is very obscure show biz gossip, but I remember reading that Mike Yarwood had a bloody good pension from ITV.

So I guess that’s covering his medical fees in there.

Christopher Ball, composer, conductor and clarinet teacher at the Royal Academy of Music has become the latest Denville Hall 'graduate' - http://www.christopherballcomposer.com/

 

Quite impressed that he was a composer specifically for recorders. I could not imagine they would actually ever play a decent tune and just be one shrill at different pitches.

Admin could probably do with adding Denville to the title, even though it's only the Yale to Brinsworth's Harvard. Or summat.

Well turns out BBC director and producer John B. Hobbs (IMDb) was a resident of Denville Hall, but not now.

HOBBS John B died peacefully on 29th February 2024 at Denville Hall care home, aged 87. The former BBC TV producer and director of the comedy series Brush Strokes, Butterflies, Bread and ’Allo ’Allo.
