Guest iain Posted August 19, 2005 A month or so ago we were all speculating whetehr 92 year old Michael Foot or 88 yea rold Denis Healey would die first.Instead 2 senior Labour politicians have died totally unexpectedely in their 50s.Robin Cook and Mo Mowlam.Just goes to show that for all our predictions ,God always has the last laugh! Can't imagine why, but does seem to be a trend - Gaitskill, George Brown, Crossland, John Smith, Cook and Mowlam all spring to mind. The amazing thing is how many Tories live to ripe old ages when corpulence seems like the body shape of choice. Ted Heath's health can't have been helped by his heart having to pump the blood round thousands of miles of extra capillaries whilst the blob that is Nicholas Soames continues to roam until this day, older and twice the size of Robin Cook. Being a member of deathlist I'm surprised you are a supporter of Rasputin - I mean if ever there was a man who refused to die at their time it was him. If I'm not mistaken it took 5 steps: 1: Poisened 2: Shot at close range. 3: Tried to escape after being shot only to be shot again. 4: Beaten with chains. 5:Thrown in an iced over river. Still I suppose they weren't really lefties.... Maybe it's because all the hand-wringing Labour types spend so much time wracked with middle class guilt as they exploit the trappings of power while the huddled masses remain oppressed - a good Tory doesn't give a damn, so won't lose any sleep over it.
