Banshees Scream 110 Posted August 31, 2005 I remember that day so vividly. The body guard actually survived leaving her boyfriend and the drunk driver dead instantly and having Princess Diana die within a couple hours after the accident. After i heard about the disaster i went to my yearly faimly picnic. All my old folk relatives................."Besides constantly saying my name in italian that's all they could talk about.. Gunjaman5000 30 Posted August 31, 2005 I much prefered the funeral myself. The Queen of Hearts (urgh) drinking game. 1) Write name of living Royal on a piece of paper. 2) Place names in hat. 3) Pick a name from said hat. 4) Listen to commentator. 5) When the Royal is mentioned, drink 250ml beer at express pace. 6) When Diana is mentioned, in any of her many titles, everybody drink 250ml of beer at express pace. 7) Return to booze wholesaler (three hours booze having gone in 45 minutes). Repeat steps 1 - 7. Repeet schteps 127... Cracking good fun, can't wait for the Queen to go.
Banshees Scream 110 Posted August 31, 2005 Cracking good fun, can't wait for the Queen to go. Let's just hope she doesn't follow in the footsteps of her mother who lived to the grand old age of 101. And even more so her 102 year old aunt Alice.

football_fan 42 Posted August 31, 2005 Princess Diana has been dead for 8 years. Isn’t it about time we let go? She was a very popular royal, but certainly not a saint or miracle worker, yet she has been reminisced over and over with no end in sight.

VileBody 11 Posted August 31, 2005 I did like the Evening Standard street banner last week "New Clues in Diana Mystery". Then if you were suckered into buying the paper you got the story: "New investigation reveals it was an accident"! Er, yes....as we all know except that mad bastard who owns fuggin' Harrods

DevonDeathTrip 2,341 Posted August 31, 2005 Just like 9/11 or JFK's assasination, everybody is supposed to know what they were doing and where they were when they heard Princess Bulimia, sorry, Diana had died. Sadly I have already forgotten, does everyone else know where they were at the time? DDT
VileBody 11 Posted August 31, 2005 Came down to breakfast at my parents' place to hear that Mrs VB had caught the news on the car radio going to Mass - my Dad and I both started saying it was MI5 as joke then everyone got on the bloody bandwagon. It's also the Missus' birthday today and her first reaction when the news came through was extreme annoyance that every future birthday would be blighted by people rambling on about Di. honez 79 Posted August 31, 2005 In quick order, damnit! You line 'em up and we'll get 'em all done and dusted before nuncheon. NUNCHEON? nuncheon – a drink or snack taken between meals, esp. in the afternoon "Yes,--I left London this morning at eight o'clock, and the only ten minutes I have spent out of my chaise since that time procured me a nuncheon at Marlborough." – Sense and Sensibility, ch.
bigdave 0 Posted August 31, 2005 i remember it well - we went out in the evening to a pub where there was meant to be live music - due to the "tragic" events that got cancelled - i lost count how many times the primitives "crash" was played on the jukebox
