Death Watch Beatle 41 Posted April 23, 2004 The Mirror reports she is seriously ill in hospital suffering from incurable and advanced brain cancer. When she does venture out she is wheelchair bound and accompanied by a helper. Is she famous enough for the DL? DWB
The Yeti 14 Posted April 23, 2004 I would say yes. But she doesn't seem likely to make it to next year with that prognosis.
Death Watch Beatle 41 Posted April 28, 2004 Just to add to the old girl's problems, her son, Adam Shand Kydd (Princess Di's step-brother), has wound-up dead in a hostel in Cambodia. Drugs overdose is suspected - he has a history of drug addiction. So if she felt she had anything to live for, this kick in the teeth should sort it out. But can she hang-on for another 8 months is the question. DWB
Stayin Alive 26 Posted April 29, 2004 Did anyone catch the name of the hostel?
Grim Reaper 186 Posted April 30, 2004 Stayin - is this a genuine question or are you about to unleash an amusing fact on us??
Stayin Alive 26 Posted May 2, 2004 Sadly, neither. I have some holiday coming up and south-east asia seemed viable. Americans will, no doubt, try and deny that Cambodia's techno club scene is da bomb.
Grim Reaper 186 Posted May 2, 2004 Techno club scene?? I think the endless fields of landmines is the only "Da Bomb" in Cambodia - however I believe the good ol US was a substantial supplier of these fun devices
The Four Horsemen 26 Posted June 3, 2004 Another contender for next years list departs a bit too soon: Frances Shand Kydd, the mother of Diana, Princess of Wales, has died. A spokesman for Althorp House, the home of Earl Spencer, said: "I can confirm that Lord Spencer's mother passed away peacefully this morning, after suffering from a long illness, and this is now a private time for the family to grieve." The 68-year-old grandmother of Princes William and Harry lived alone on the remote Scottish island of Seil, near Oban. Looks like the thinking caps will have to go back on....... Stayin Alive 26 Posted June 3, 2004 Ok, I'm retracting the previous comment, as it appears The Four Horsemen rode in to town before me on this one, but "they" did post to the wrong thread That is my defence...
Grim Reaper 186 Posted June 3, 2004 oooh - just retracted in time - reuse of DL Forum jokes carries a heavy penalty
