Canadian Paul 97 Posted December 21, 2005 Troubled American Idol Runner-Up Bo Bice is completely messed up from drugs and complications from intestinal surgey. I put him here instead of in the "Ideas and Possibilities for 2006" thread because I have too much respect for your country to believe that he'd get an obit. Doesn't sound life-threatening. We get American Idol on TV on this side of the pond, so at least some of us know who he is! To clarify, by the way, I don't watch that show, never have and never will. I only noticed it as one story among many to bring to DL's attention.

Canadian Paul 97 Posted December 22, 2005 Toga the baby penguin is (probably) dead Could make for an interesting Christmas dinner. How would penguin taste.... I would say rubbery, but then again, 50 million sea lions can't be wrong! It's good question though, I've met a lot of people who've eaten a lot of different things, but never anyone who has sampled this type...

Windsor 2,233 Posted January 17, 2006 (edited) Has anyone heard of the magician Alex Elmsley because he died last week I must admit iain, this post is probably the funniest thing I've read today. Brinsworth House Baiter 12 Posted January 18, 2006 There were three in the Current Bun today that seem to have gone unnoticed either here or in the near misses thread: California's oldest Death Row inmate Clarence Allen, 76, was executed yesterday after governor Arnie refused him clemency. James Chadwin QC who defended Peter Sutcliffe in 1981 died aged 74. A consumer expert on ITV's This Morning gassed himself with a generator at his home. Steve Whatley, 46, also worked for QVC. Apologies if these have been mentioned elsewhere- just trying to do my duty, sirs, as a deathlister!

Boudicca 702 Posted January 18, 2006 Apologies if these have been mentioned elsewhere- just trying to do my duty, sirs, as a deathlister! My daughter's classmate's sister died last week. We saw the funeral procession. There was a "Cinderella" carriage drawn by four white horses and a coffin with Disney Princesses painted on it. I was telling Mini-Bou how you don't need your body after you die, and she said, "so Jesus cuts your head off when you're dead!" Bit of an obsession with Death at the moment due to the "glamourous" funeral and.. Well I don't know where else she gets it from
