Margaret Thatcher

I think she is summed up best by the following quote:

Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are' date=' you probably aren't..."[/i']

She was both and that's an incredibly sexy combination. Best Prime Minister we've ever had, by some margin and hated for the very reasons she is loved, in that she did what was right, not what was easy.

An example to all.

Yes, but she was definitely more attractive as a teenager.

(I still would though...)

IIRC, several members of her cabinet got wood at her very presence. I suppose it was her power and the idea she would beat them repeatedly over the buttocks with wooden spoons, if they didnt obey, that got em going.

Are you sure that wasn't just you? :D

Stuggling to find a home for her marble statue.

If she died we could use it as part of her mausoleum. Urine target practice?

Shouldn't statues of former prime ministers be placed by or outside the Houses of Parliament? That would make more sense to me.

What I miss are news flashes. Can't think when I saw one last? We get so much 24 hour news coverage that the main channels just don't seem to break into ongoing programmes anymore. Wish they would just a bit more though, not least with Thatcher's upcomming passing.

Last one I remember was when the Queen Mother died.

Apparently because there are now 24 hour rolling news channels the BBC have said that they will not break programming to announce the death of Thatcher but the beeping of car horns, fireworks and whoops of joy will probably alert you.

She is very old and frail, it would hardly come as a shock.

What would come as a shock is if all the lefties waiting to have their party took a look at the shit state of the country left by 13 years of Labour rule and took some responsibility.

And if you think you're having party when she dies, wait till you see us rock the place when Blair pops his clogs...

Fecking typical. She would die now, wouldn't she?

Time to dust down the pun of all puns and hope Deathlist didn't come up with the same...
