maryportfuncity 10,650 Posted January 26, 2015 The metropolis of Maryport situated on the west Cumbrian coast is a hub of fun and good times, and the seat of generations of my clan.

Magere Hein 1,400 Posted January 26, 2015 I tried to change it, but I got the same as you. Unable to post a name with a gap. I can only assume you joined up around the time there was an upgrade done. Over to you Hein, I dont understand why it's not allowing me to change his name. Edit. I'm just wondering when you initially joined, you had two e-mail addresses, and you might have already used the one without a hyphen (although there are no traces of it now) It's done, through some SQL magic. If you read this, Sir Creep, please pay attention to the fact that you'll need to use your new name when you log in. I see that since the software upgrade it's gotten more picky when chosing member names. The same is true for registration. What I did was change it directly in the database. It's not particularly difficult, but you need to know what you're doing and a good dose of SQL. I removed the old 'Sir Creep' account two weeks ago, to avoid a name clash when the change request would come. regards, Hein 1
deathisallaround 21 Posted January 26, 2015 My name choice isn't too exciting. I was watching Love Actually and the painful (Christmas is all around) whilst on this website laughing at the forum comments. It prompted me to stop lurking as a guest and sign up! thefunkyfaz 51 Posted January 27, 2015 Mine's my old school nickname. Almost a quarter of a century after leaving school, I still use it. Lack of imagination or refusal to grow up?
Deathray 2,940 Posted January 27, 2015 Mine's my old school nickname. Almost a quarter of a century after leaving school, I still use it. Lack of imagination or refusal to grow up?My nickname at school was the rather unimaginative my surname with a y on the end. My DL name is meaning a play on the deathray machine and seeking death on a radar that could also be measured on a deathray. I don't really like it that much but after a year thrre's little point changing it

RadGuy 1,614 Posted January 29, 2015 I have been using "Rad___" as a username since I was 10. I thought it was cool back then, but now I only use it because... IDK. So I'm recognizable on the web?

SC The old account 'Sir Creep' was never used for posts when I removed it, so no stats were lost. The current account 'Sir Creep' is the one formerly known as 'Sir-Creep' and has all posts and statistics it had before I renamed it, and all statistics of what you did after. regards, Hein

Clorox Bleachman 2,436 Posted September 27, 2019 I did drag for a laugh when I was 15 (don't ask). Wasn't a fan of the name I was assigned for the night. Like with everything, I spent way too long after the fact brainstorming drag names. So if my flapper girl persona ever emerges again, I'll be Clorox.

gcreptile 10,978 Posted September 28, 2019 Eh, okay... I've been wearing the name "reptile" on the internet for years... in fact, it must be 15-16 years now since I began using this alias as a young player of the Civilization strategy games on the internet. The origin is the song "Reptile" by American industrial band Nine Inch Nails. The "gc" was my former "guild" tag. Yes we had guilds even then, before World of Warcraft.

The Great Cornholio 902 Posted July 27, 2020 I chose Kenny McCormick because I suck at nicknames and that was the first thing to come into my head to replace 'Big Chungus'.
