Ding Dong, Texas

Sweet Home isn't in Alabama, it's in Texas.

Rough and Ready, California (not far from my California house, actually)

One of my personal favorites is Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

Accident, Maryland

Chicken, Alaska (they sell shirts that say "I got laid in Chicken, Alaska)

LFN will like Intercourse, Pennsylvania.

Uncertain, Texas (literally named because the people who started it weren't sure if they were on the Texas or Louisiana side of Lake Caddo)

That's the limit of my memory and Googling for now, folks.

Went past a Yew Tree Avenue today. Wonder if house prices have been affected recently?

I can't quite believe no one has listed this yet, but I've searched and not got any hits. Anyway, in case you didn't know.... the fair state of Oregon is home to Wankers Corner!

Wankers Corner has been mentioned before but not in the same context.

Thumbing through my A-Z of Birmingham and the wider West Midland conurbation today whilst planning a route for my lad 's away football match, I came across a district of the Black Country called Bell End

Frustrated residents have launched a petition to change the "rude" and "offensive" name of their street – Bell End.

People living in the street in Rowley Regis in Sandwell, West Midlands, argue it is one of the rudest street names in the country, with some saying it could cause younger residents to be bullied at school.

Bell End was ranked fourth in the UK in a list of the top 15 rudest-sounding street names released in 2014.

And a new January 2018 petition to change the name of Bell End is defeated.

Yes, it's a creek. Yes, it's in Texas. No, no one is sure why it's called that.

IF one were going to the Isle of Lewis in September..... (rumours abound)
one would be remiss not to make sure they stood on the Butt of Lewis.

Apparently this lighthouse is the northernmost point in the western isles of Scotland.  This will be cool, seeing as Sir Creep has stood at Pte Pelee, the southernmost point of Canada (prior to his being BANNED from the entire country ).
Not too many people can claim those two spots.

FTR I have also stood on the dock at Port Austin, MI (the tip of the 'thumb' of Michigan) and Eagle Harbor (the northernmost point of Michigan's upper peninsula).  And driven to the end of the road in Venice, Louisiana at the tip of the Mississippi River delta.

While researching my Pictish ancestry, Pictish stones, etc -- came across THIS lovely church in Tralee, home of many ancient ogham (Celtic) monuments.

While I'm here.....
Seems the far northern shire of Sutherland county in the Scottish Highlands is presently names Farr, but 70 years ago was called Tongue and Farr prior to splitting off as two independent shires.
