Grey haired skinny Joe Jackson, aye he's had his moments. Now the UK charts allow downloads without support of hard copy formats a well orchestrated campaign, where everyone agrees to buy the track in the same week, could put something like that at number one. Bring it on!

I thought I'd check out Mr Shatner's health on google so put "shatner ill" in and hit search...with quite surprising results

I love the urban dictionary me, my fave find of the week being Baby Rodeo, nowt to do with Shatner though. On the subject of The Shat; I did notice on closer inspection that he goes reddish in the face during the great Common People performance and that's not advisable for a septegenarian pork duke. Still don't think he's remotely close to carking this year though.

Relive the glory of William Shatner's rendition of "Rocket Man", which premiered 30 years ago this day.

I cried. Just a little.

It brought a tear to my eye as well :banghead:

I found something not only worse, but also

as well. At least the girls are cute in this one (if blurry). If this were any campier, you'd earn a merit badge just from watching it.

I was hoping to find a good story on it, but apparently 77 isn't a newsworthy birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHATNER!

And happy 96th to Karl Malden! :)

Bill begins his new shat show, Raw Nerve, today. Shame it's not on in the UK.

"I'm not afraid of exposing my raw nerve, and I invite them to do the same".

Bio Channel programming executive Rob Sharenow approached Shatner about a series last year. "He's thoughtful and philosophical and has a natural curiosity and wit. That's what makes him an intriguing host."

Not always the first qualities that come to mind when his former Star Trek colleagues are asked for memories of the man. This show would work better if he had a sidekick, say with pointy ears, and as celebs collapsed into blubbering personal accounts of their worst actions Shat could look sideways for a minute and his companion could chip in with a line. You know, 'logical' or 'illogical,' that kind of thing.

Nicely resurrected thread.

I'd just like to add that Bill singing Common People is worth the cover price alone.
