Phantom 2,535 Posted July 26, 2006 The director will surely be the next to go. No way, he'll be here for years yet. He'll outlive Borgnine, but both of them may outlive one of the younger names on the list. Han't Leslie Nielsen had a couple of small health scares in the past? Also directed films such as The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and co-wrote films such as Brief Encounter. It says he "never recovered after suffering from a fall." Non-natural causes bonus for the four DDP pickers? What at 99? Still, it happened to Culp didn't it? But the enevitable 'fall' particularly at that age is a bit of a given hazard. wildstorm 297 Posted November 29, 2010 Leslie Nielsen (79) TMZ just reported his dead Both Leslie Nielsen and Ernest Borgnine were scheduled to be at FanExpo in Toronto this year. I got an autograph from the surprisingly lively Borgnine, but Nielsen didn't show up due to poor health (I was considering adding him to my 2011 deathlist). It's a shame that I couldn't get his autograph, and a bigger shame that he couldn't hold on for another 2 months Oh well. Here's an obit

Monoclinic 39 Posted November 29, 2010 I am shocked, genuinely shocked. Not because Shirley has snuffed it but because the fact Nielsen had been hospitalised recently seemed to have escaped the radar of one of those thorough to the point of tedium posters. That's got a be a hit for Nielsen surely? Just like a camouflage condom, you didn't see that one coming.

Bit like The Fog and Curse of Fenric in that regard. Speaking of which, Hal Holbrook is still alive! That surprised me when I looked it up when The Fog was on a few weeks ago.

Think Fenric with a bigger budget and Americans. Also Janet Leigh playing the mum of Jamie Lee Curtis!
