So, with all due respects to the do-gooders whining on about the gender pay gap in the news this morning and in particular the impact that having children has on earnings - how many women suffered such a massive percentage of pay cut as that endured by Gary Glitter once it was revealed - in 1997 - that he had had children?

I don't know about that but its reminded me of that woman who went public claiming to be Jimmy Saviles offspring after he shagged her mum ( 19 at the time IIRC) when she was a waitress in a seaside café.

Naturally, she laid claim to his estate only to disappear without a trace once Saviles sexual exploits broke.

She was so damn close..............

Not strictly true

The woman never renounced the claim and - speaking as someone who had the mum who gave birth to Savile's child as a dead pool pick a couple of years back - what happened was;

1 - The mum died and it wasn't reported in a manner that scored points

2 - Savile's family were obstructive (according to the claimant) and may even have offered someone else's hair off a brush to complicate attempts to prove a DNA match

3 - Given the tonnage of claims against him the value of Savile's estate crashed and the claim was chasing little or no money

She probably is his daughter

Classic Spade, but if more than half a dozen people get the joke hereabouts I'd be amazed

So anyway, after some building, decorating and carpeting my home office is back in operation and so neat and tidy that accessing all my old vinyl and slapping it on as I work is now an easy task. What's promoted this post is the re-discovery of a trio of Glitter long players from back in the day - one of which is currently pumping away at considerable volume.

Tbf - they are BANGIN' tunes and the production genius of Mike Leander (who gets ignored because his greatest work was poured into records nobody plays on the radio) should be saluted too.

So, I'm in my favourite charity shop a couple of days back and the manager - who tends to stick aside weird shit music and the like on the basis I'll probably buy it once we have our usual chat - reaches under the counter and says he has something he wouldn't put on sale but I might slam to. At which point a pristine still in the shrink rap copy of Glitter's movie "Remember me This way" is produced. Mrs MPFC has a lengty sojourn with some girl mates next weekend so woodburner, cat snuggle and a trip to glam rock heaven are on the agenda. I'll let you know!

And, before you ask - £1

The paedophile singer needed consoled by fellow inmates in the specialist sex offender jail when he was ushered off stage in tears.

HMP The Verne is an all-sex offender jail with tea making facilities in each cell as well as reportedly having a pond with koi carp and a farm where convicts can grow flowers and look after ducks.

I'd always why these cunts never got murdered inside; but there we go. What a fucking joke? They all get segregated into their own fucking prisons. Don't worry folks, the paedophiles are safe... on your money! Should put them in with the gang-land murders and the wannabe Taliban from Greenwich and see how shit goes down. Not cosy little sex offender safe spaces...

Re the description of him looking like a pensioner in a tin foil blanket, there was an element of that in his hey day

That said, the abuse seems to have come from him taking the whole thing so seriously. Anyone who's see the documentary "Remember me This Way" from the mid-seventies will know he comes over as someone who thinks he's made for stardom.

Fans of YouTube holes may well be aware of GARY GLITTER'S ROCK N ROLL JUKEBOX, the definitive collection of videos on and about the big man himself. A personal favourite is the clip from the opening of his restaurant:

They're chanting "leader" but at first it sounds like "paedo"

Incidentally Spade, you know a thing or two about ill-starred comeback gigs that ended fatally. How long do you think Gary has to go?

If he does make 110 will he still be a paedo or will he have progressed to shagging 40 year olds?

The paper that was once known as the Super Soaraway Sun and once the biggest selling in the UK is getting all worked up about the six figure sum GG stands to earn from the use of Rock n Roll Part 2 - i.e. the b-side of his first UK hit - in the new Joker movie.

Little history lesson for those of you unaware of why GG continues to rake in the cash. That "song" which is nowt more than handclaps, drums and occasional shouts is basically a backing track from the a-side. It was done that way because this was Glitter's first single and nobody wanted to risk too much money in case the serial chancer's career failed to take off (as it had when he was Paul Raven and also Rubber Bucket). Rock n Roll Part 1 & 2 almost made #1 in the UK and is the only real hit he had in the US. The b-side has spent years as a go-to anthem in US live events used to rouse crowds and get them chanting. That country doesn't remember him but knows the song so lots of people use it without realising they're lining a paedo's pockets. It's also ironic because the bulk of the cash comes Glitter's way because he's one of two "writers" of the track. Oh, aye and...in America he is personally so little known that most people call the track "The Hey Song."

Seriously, how hard is this to "write"?

Tabloids reporting today that the studio are looking at removing his music from the Joker movie when it's put on DVD release and streaming services

Not that it'll make that much difference to our favourite multi-millionaire paedo lag scum. He'll die a very rich man

So, a few minutes after posting on this thread the shuffle on my media player throws up this gem

Forgotten this low peaking hit from his comeback years - dodgy lyric for sure
